“I hate early morning phone calls. And not for the typical reason you would think. I hate them because nothing good has come from a phone call before the sun is even up.”

I wrote this opening for a book I started on months ago. Based on past grief and here I am feeling the hurt in these words still ringing true now a month after losing you.

“The sounds of grief are infinite and the galloping beat of my angry heart is the loudest. Grief is everywhere, it surrounds us like a cloak. And even as the years go on and that cloak becomes dingy and starts to thin with loose threads somehow its still there. Ragged but still holding on.”
