the people of nica are “my why”
whether it was a 19 year old farmer, Reynaldo. the 3 year olds at the academy. the 68 year old community leader, Claudio, or just the pure love and joy that all of the locals and staff members extended - they will always be my why.
it was never about the personal gain or how it “made me look” but purely because of them. people i only know on a first name basis, but yet hold the power to leave me in tears ever time i leave.
nica, i promise to be back (hopefully for 4 weeks next time instead of one 😉) taken in Chinandega,Nicaragua by @kaylee.ulin

no frostbite this year 🙌… Winter Retreat 2026

who knew that 4 years ago when i came to this camp for the first time, I would find my best friends for life. i am eternally grateful for a community that i now call family.

as i look back on the years at camp (and my life) i cannot help but proclaim His goodness and faithfulness. He has been my constant in a world full of chaos. the story He has given me is too powerful to not share, so here i am to testify. i am the biggest advocate for finding your community who knows Jesus and will pour that into you. i can promise you that it will change and save your life, it certainly did for mine. by @kaylee.ulin

my love letter to nicaragua 💌

to try to put this trip into words and pictures is inexplicable. the people and beauty of this place never fail to make my heart stop; it’s even harder to fit them into pictures. i’m beyond blessed and completely humbled to have spent 10 days across Nicaragua spreading the love of Jesus, while also restoring clean water in each home for generations to come!
although it gets harder each time to leave, it leaves me excited and hopeful to watch Chinandega finally receive and gain access to the things i take for granted. while I take absolutely no praise or credit for the works done this week, I direct all the praise, glory, and honor to the Lord. without Him none of this would be possible.
Nicaragua, i love you with all my heart and i can’t wait to see you again.
With all my love, juntos forever

“But he said, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.”
