Kenya 💌…

I’m not sure where to even start with this post if i’m being completely honest. So i’ll start with a little back story. Ever since I was a little girl i’ve had such a big heart for the Lord and giving back to people. I wear my heart on my sleeve and just can’t help but want to please everyone. Growing up I was blessed with parents who were very involved in the church and I guess you could call me a PT (pastors kid), my dad was a former youth pastor for many years and both my parents always made our house an open door for small groups and youth fellowship. Because of the way I was raised, I dreamed of going on a mission trip and for as long as I can remember, Africa was the place that stayed on my heart. So I was determined to make it happen before I had to start college and a new chapter of my life that was to come. And then that dream, came to reality… 🥹

Now let’s talk about the trip!!

- Over the course of two weeks, we had the privilege of serving in so many different ways. We spent time leading children’s ministry at local schools, worshipping alongside students, teaching lessons on forgiveness, playing games, and simply sharing the love of Jesus. We hiked with university students, visited churches and homes in the village, and built relationships with people.

- One of the most meaningful experiences was helping build a home for Jane, a widow raising six children. Getting to mud the walls of her new home and watch her joy as it came together is something I’ll never forget. We also spent time at the Hope Center orphanage, laughing, dancing, playing soccer, and making memories with some of the sweetest kids I’ve ever met.

- We spent our days serving schools, students, and families throughout Kenya. More than anything, this trip taught me that ministry is simply loving people well.

Lastly, I want to thank every single person who not only made my dream come true but many others whose lives were changed in Kenya because of your support and donation. No amount of words could ever express my gratitude. Thank you @take.heart.africa and @baylipage for making this experience possible. And thank you Jesus for this life I get to live. 🪽💘 by @kayleedibble
