Renewing our annual subscription to the ol’ marriage today for the very first time. And it’s true what they say! Time flies when you’re in luv. I love you forever, Jaimito. It’s just you, me, and that plant in the photo. And Hamachi the puppy of course. And you and me. We are the best team. I am home wherever you are. We got married at the very top of the year. The LA fires happened just a few days later, and during those fires Jaime’s car was stolen. About a week after it was stolen they found both the car and the guy who stole it. That’s not nearly all of the drama there was to this story (if you know, you know) but those are the CliffsNotes!

After that, we spent a bunch of time with friends, both got to see our favorite artists live, I did some writing, we took some mini trips, hosted my parents in the summertime, adopted the most perfect puppy, I had a health-scare (I’m ok! 😀), went to Mexico together for the first time to visit Jaime’s family and see CDMX, watched a lot of soccer and a lot of baseball, and made/sold our original salsas again.

This year was full of very high high’s and very low low’s. The state of the world didn’t exactly help. “Rollercoaster” is the only word that feels right in describing it all. Grateful for all that I have and all that I’ve learned. Thankful for my awesome circle of people. Ready to turn the page. taken in Los Angeles, California by @kayleekmattoon

Introducing our perfect little son, Hamachi, who is also sometimes known as Hammy. He is all of 8 weeks and has completely stolen our hearts. I have a lot to say about the current state of a lot of things but I’m too exhausted to organize my thoughts and type it all out. Did I know I was getting married at the top of next year? Yes. Did I know I was getting a sick ring at the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree two weeks before that?
