where do I even begin… this sport has brought me so many things in life and I couldn’t be more thankful. I started off playing baseball when I was four as number 8 and here I am today stepping off the field one last time as number 8. The very first time i stepped on a field I fell in love. This has been such an amazing journey and it has finally come to a bittersweet ending. I’m so grateful for all of the relationships softball has brought me from coaches, teammates, best friends, and lifelong sisters. I’ve been dreading this ending for a while but this is where my journey of life begins. This is not only a game to me, but was my first love, and has been my life for 17 years. Softball has molded me into who I am today and without it, I have no idea where I would be. The field has always been my happy place, the place where I could be free and have no worries and no matter what was going on in life I always found my way back home. This sport brought me so many amazing memories that a lot of people can’t say they ever got to experience, and I wish I could relive each one. From Louisburg where I began my college journey(I never thought I would make it out alive 😂) to now ending it at MGA a place i’m proud to call home! No matter where I was or who I was around, this game always brought out the best in me. The joy I had on that field will be something I hope to find in every other aspect of my life. Thank you God for blessing me with this ability and all of the opportunities you provided me. Without you I would be nothing. 🤍 Mom, thank you so much for always being my number one fan even on the hardest of days. No matter a homerun, or a strikeout you were always the loudest in the crowd. You are my rock through everything, thank you for always being there and never wavering. To my family, thank you for always cheering me on no matter through a screen or traveling hundreds of miles to come and watch me play.
