✨hemiplegic migraines✨
a chronic illness that some of you may have heard of, for those of you that are close to me you know plenty about. an illness that changed my life forever 6 years ago today. i was just a girl at volleyball practice but little did i know i would lose the ability to walk, talk, write and function on my own. i’ve learned a lot over the years but if there is one thing that i’ve kept with me is you NEVER know how strong you are until being STRONG is the only choice you have.

for every person that has touched my life, walked me through an episode, witnessed an episode or helped me in any way shape or form thank you. and to my family especially my mom @mrs.mikala.brown thank you for showing up for me even when i didn’t have the strength to show up for myself. from every specialty doctor we have visited to every phone call you’ve had with me when going to another appointment was the last thing i wanted to do, i couldn’t do it without you.

and if you’ve made it this far thanks for taking the time to read 🥹💋oh and the next time you see me out with my sunglasses on in a setting that people usually don’t have them on, im not trying to be cool im just trying to not stroke out 🧚🏾🥳😎 taken in Rady Children's Health - Orange County by @kayleepiper
