What a ride it has been. This past year was the most challenging and rewarding season of life.
Unfortunately in the fall I was diagnosed with a chronic illness called POTS which is a form of dysautonomia. It wrecked my world and meant i wouldn’t be able to play my senior season. It brought a lot of challenges, doctors appointments, and day wondering if my life would ever be the same again. I couldn’t eat solid food for four weeks, i couldn’t stand in a grocery store for 5 minutes, i couldn’t take a shower standing without passing out, and everything that made me who I was felt like it was gone forever. However, through amazing doctors, pt’s, teammates, coaches, friends, and family it got better slowly with time. I am still not close to 100% but I am worlds away from where I was in November. I am so thankful for have been able to finish out school strong and finish out my softball career alongside my teammates.

Softball has given me so much in this life that I will never be able to repay. From lifelong friendships to memories i can’t wait to tell my kids some days. It has knocked me down and shown me what it takes to get back up. While college softball was filled with injuries, setbacks, and illness it was also filled with triumphs, success, and companionship. There are no words to describe what being an athlete means to me and the impact it has made on my life. I will forever be indebted to softball and i will forever cherish everything it has given me💜 In this next chapter of life I hope I can help young girls feel the love, empowerment, and passion this game fills you with!
