Brownstone 22 will be celebrating Basque cuisine & cocktails on Wednesday, July 1st! 🍸

If you aren’t familiar, Basque culture hails from the mountainous & coastal region straddling the border between Spain & France. It’s vibrant, ancient & bursting with flavor ✨

Executive Chef @cheftravisherbert & Head Chef @kayleyyearley will be serving six courses of Basque-inspired dishes spanning from Pintxos to Paella while Bar Director @greasywagon will be slinging six sippers drawing on traditional Spanish cocktails & flavors.

We’re thrilled to announce our first Wine & Dine at Brownstone 22! ✨

For one night only, Chef Kayley @kayleyyearley and Executive Chef @cheftravisherbert will be collaborating on a coursed dinner alongside our friend, Ryan Stonitsch, who will be guiding you through six wines from Albert Bichot & Starmont Wines 🍷

This is a limited, ticket-only event on Wednesday, April 22nd (Earth Day!). To access tickets, go through the reservations portal on our website.

With the purchase of your ticket, you’ll be treated to an amuse-bouche from the kitchen, a welcome cocktail from the bar, and four expertly curated food & wine pairings.

Humbled and grateful to be nominated to the 2026 James Beard as a finalists! @felt_slc has been one hell of an adventure. 2 years in and crushing it. I would not be here if I wasn’t surrounded by incredible talented individuals who all “drank the kool-aid” and believed in our vision of myself and my talented business partner @richromney. Chef Sapo Barrera @thatkidwithaseptum and Chef Kayley Yearly @kayleyyearley are the most integral part of the past 2 years. Their creativity and dedication is unparalleled in our daily operations. You can feel the vibe the minute you enter the space and it’s a testament to my whole crew from the driven chefs, charming servers, buzzin bar backs to the drink shakers. Sunshine & smiles with Chef Kayley! 🌞

If you haven’t met Kayley, you’re missing out on a gem of a human & a helluva chef 🔪

Chef Kayley started at our sister bar, Felt, where she quickly rose from line cook to Sous Chef. But before she even stepped foot in a professional kitchen, Kayley fell in love with baking cupcakes. From a kid with cupcake dreams to head chef at Brownstone, it’s been a journey!

Other than cooking & baking & running the kitchen, Kayley loves reading stacks of books on her days off, cuddling with her beloved cat, Barbara Moonbeam Socks Yearly (Moonbeam for short), and solo camping in the Utah wilderness to get away from the crazies.

We love you, @kayleyyearley !!! Brownstone would crumble without you! 🫶🏻

GRAND OPENING THIS THURSDAY!! 🚨

From the creative minds behind Felt Bar Eatery comes Brownstone 22, a cutting edge seafood restaurant & bar breathing new life into a gorgeous, historic building.

The Brownstone Building, owned & meticulously cared for by Bill Campbell, underwent a stunning redesign courtesy of the man himself, Bill, along with the artful direction @jamieclydestudio_design & @v.projectdesign. Try to not to gawk at all the incredible work they did 😉

The kitchen, run by Head Chef @kayleyyearley and Executive Chef @cheftravisherbert, will focus on seafood; from raw seafood towers to lobster linguine to a seared barramundi.

The bar will feature a diverse by-the-glass wine menu and an extensive list of bottles curated by @alexpope1983.

Additionally, General Manager @richromney and Bar Director @greasywagon have crafted a concise cocktail menu with unique takes on beloved classics as well as a martini & aperitivo menu.

We are delighted to announce we will be opening to the public this Thursday. Reservations will be available through the link in our bio. Walk-ins also welcome!

The food is prepped, the bar is stocked, and the team is ready to serve delicious food & drinks! Cheers!

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 26! We have been working hard to open this restaurant and it is really happening now. It does feel like a fever dream lol. What a beautiful thing to have a job you actually enjoy.

UPDATE FOR OUR SLC FRIENDS:

Felt lost power last night during the fire, but we did not suffer any major damages. We lost our food and were forced to close today to clean & restock.

To offer a sliver of good news on a day filled with heavy hearts, we can happily say that Felt will be back in business tomorrow, Wednesday, August 13th for regular service at 4pm.

To our neighbors at Tapatíos, London Belle, Whiskey Street, and White Horse whose buildings were destroyed — plus the other businesses who suffered damages — we are devastated at your loss, hoping for your full rebuild & recovery, and just down the street to offer a hug & a Fernet in these tough times.

Follow the link in our bio to donate to the Main Street Fire Employee Assistance Fund. To quote the Downtown Alliance, which is working with business owners to facilitate the donations for 200+ service industry workers affected by the fire, “100% of your donation will go directly to helping these employees cover essential expenses—rent, groceries, transportation—during this difficult time.”
