A year ago, I was home from work, enjoying watching my spooky show and painting one of my spooky dolls. That's when I got the news something was wrong with my brother, James. I rushed to my dad's where we sat for hours just waiting to hear if he was even alive. 4 days later they wanted us to to pull life support. If you know me, you know that I believe that dreams do come true. I'm always willing to have faith in the impossible. I was forced to question myself; was this a situation where it wasn't fair for me to hold onto hope? It wasn't his time, I could feel that... but was that me just being the naive dreamer that I am? That Saturday morning we went to have the discussion, but miraculously James was showing signs that he was there. The doctors were surprised, they still asked about pulling the breathing tube, but we had our answer.. now we had hope.

If you know the story, you know James has spent the year beating the odds given to him. He is still in rehab doing his best to walk again, but he's alive, and he's him.

My friends and I put together an audition video/performance dedicated to James. I was waiting for the right day to share it, and today feels like that day. We created this to remind James that dreams do come true, miracles happen, if you keep believing in them.

This is edited to fit insta reels, but I have the wide version on Facebook! I'll probably put on YouTube later too.
