On my #journeyto35 and beyond, I’m taking my physical fitness seriously.

Imagine when you were 16 years old, you were given the car of your dream. But you were also given one condition: it is the only car you’ll ever get in your lifetime.

Because it’s the car you’ll ever get, you’ll read the owners manual five times, fix every scratch and dent immediately to prevent rust. And you’ll baby that car because it has to last you a lifetime

Your body and mind are exactly like that car. Your body and mind feels great when you’re young but if you don’t take care of it by the time you’re 50 or 60 you’ll be like a car that cannot go anywhere.

One of the reasons I didn’t join the @accessbanklagoscitymarathon in February was because I’m trying to gain muscle not lose weight. After the age of 30, your body starts losing muscles rapidly involuntarily. Unless you actively do something about it, you’ll have shrunk down in your 60s.

Since I signed up to the gym last August I’ve not looked back since.

What you do right now, today, determines how your mind and body will operate 10, 20, or 30 years from now

Every successful business you know was built on these business systems. Once you see business through this lens, you'll have control over your 1) income, 2) impact and 3) peace of mind as an entrepreneur.

The Business operating system is like our body's system. Our bodies contains several parts or systems that must work together or operate for us to not just be alive but to be healthy and growing.

For a business to be alive, healthy and growing, the business owner must know and operate these 6 business systems:

1. Leadership system: This is the oga kpata kpata of them all. Most business problems are personal problems that reflect in business. To summarize it, i'll say this, "the owner of the business is 9/10 times responsible for the success or failure of the business.
The goal of the leadership system is to create energy, clarity, & productivity of a team.

2. Value creation system: The goal here is to create offers ( or products and services) that deliver exceptional results
3. Marketing system: the goal of the marketing system is to create sales opportunities
4. Sales system: the goal of the sales system is create paying customers (or users or clients)
5. Operations system: the goal of the operations system is to create happy and satisfied customers
6. Finance system: the goal of the finance system is to have a healthy cashflow and profit.

Dear Entrepreneur/business owner, happy new month. Two months have gone by in the year 2026. How are the new year goals you set for yourself and your business for 2026? Hope you're still on target?

This new month I have been sent to tell you that not all business problems are business problems. As a matter of fact, if you have a business related issue its not actually a business issue, it's a personal problem.

So what is this deep personal issue? Your limiting beliefs.

What have people told you or worse still what are the things you have told yourself that are limiting you?

Oo getting clients is hard
Oo sales is hard
Oo I am not good with people
Oo there's too much competition
Oo people will judge me
Oo I will let customers come to me
Oo I need to get my business plan right first

This is like driving with your leg permanently on the brake pedal.

I can tell you with 110% certainty that the reason for the up and down nature of your business' revenue is not the result of your team or your strategy or approach.

Lift your foot of the brake pad this new month and see what will happen.
