As always, my itinerary was a little ambitious 😅 Day 1 of our fall leaf peeping trip was spent driving from Boston to Stowe and making some pit stops along the way

1️⃣ Quechee Gorge — our quickest of all, it was nice to get our and stretch our legs and the view didn’t hurt either

2️⃣ Sugarbush Farm — a MUST stop! The foliage here might’ve been the best and we had such a good time sampling the maple syrup and looking at the cows

3️⃣ Stowe Gondola— don’t make the same mistake we did. You’re not getting on during peak weekend unless you get there at 8am and bought in advance

4️⃣ Cold Hollow Cider Mill— delicious but also PACKED. Get the apple cider and a creamie!

Dear ice cream companies, please stop making me dig through an entire pint to find the mix-ins. Love, someone who just discovered @lovedroppints 🍦

Love Drop is a small-batch ice cream studio operating out of @foundationkitchen in Charlestown. They make all their mix-ins in-house and PACK their pints full! Pretty fitting that I tried their “Do Not Disturb” pint for my Netflix marathon. 😂

I mayyyy have went a wee bit overboard, but I’m a Taurus, can you blame me? Who would I be if I didn’t buy 47 souvenirs?

How I’m justifying all of the money I spent:

🏡 Airbnb: Look at that skylight. Enough said. But I’ll say more because there was also a mini horse and a donkey

🦞 Lobster Fishing Tour: As a New Englander I’m shocked I haven’t done this already?? And I also ate my body weight in seafood so, duh.

🥗 Food & Drink: I used the salad emoji but you know I didn’t consume one single salad. Food will ALWAYS be a splurge for me. When in Maine, am I right?

Maine Lighthouse Day wasn’t even part of my plan, but the travel gods surprised me 🥹🌊

1️⃣ Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse: you can walk along the breakwater that was designed to protect the harbor from storms. It’s nearly a mile long walk, so wear your walking shoes. The volunteer told me it’s open to the public to climb on more than just Lighthouse Day, just be sure to check the online calendar to make sure there will be a volunteer there to let you in! Also beware the tide, on my walk back the waves absolutely SOAKED my shoes

2️⃣ Owl’s Head Light: this ittty bitty lighthouse is only 30 feet tall, but that’s okay because it sits about 100 feet above sea level. It’s more of an outdoorsy vibe than a nautical vibe and the quick walk there through the wooded trail gives you great views of the Penobscot Bay

That’s 16 hours of PTO down, 176 to go!

If “slow down, you’re on vacation” was a town it would be Camden, Maine ⛵️🎨🍦

I met the nicest people on @schoonerappledore during my sunset cruise, including some of the crew who said they were sailing down to Key West for the winter pretty soon. I found them through @viator and it was the most relaxing Maine activity (+ brought me the only sunset I managed to see all trip)
