My #fametvshow tribute in #babygirlplay
#irenecara you definitely made a difference in my world.
Job well done.
Thank you!! 🙏🏾
#babygirltvshow will show you love too!! ❤️

The rest of the dialogue: Now you wouldn't catch me dancing on lunchroom tables. I was the one sitting off to the side on my Miss Piggy lunchbox watching everybody else...

BEEP! This is a test. This is only a test...

#throwbackthursday to my #idabwells tribute in #gooddaughterplay during #mothersdayweekend 2018. It was Mom's last Mother's Day. But ya'll know I continue to celebrate her...💛💛💛

Today I realized #Ida passed away a year before @dorothyknows was born..

The irony.

Post Production is complete. Sound designer @ikeboogie added the final touches. It's been a long journey to this point personally and professionally but we made it.

WE MADE IT!

I was not alone.

My superstar actresses who did HEAVY emotional lifting. Every take I watched over and over again, reminded me of ya'lls brilliance, talent, and creative tenacity:

BRAVO!!!!

@cartertene and @carleesoeder

Grateful to my below the line village ESPECIALLY line producer @shandramcdonald

Moral support from AP's: @chrisbealprods @cinemomo @ronharmony and my DP who arrived in a pinch with additional editing and closing credits @carlaserranocrespo 🏆

AND my producers who helped finish the film after @reweinat master edit:

@iamstaciehawk @patrickjamesthomas

...and to all of my WHITE TEARS ANGELS who contributed with making this film happen! Every donation counted!

THANK YOU ALL!!!

....to my eternal producers in spirit 💛 @dorothymom 💛 and Dad 🙏🏽and Lee...

....and to my inspiration for this project:

the countless lives lost because of overagressive policing...

This film was done in your honor because....

WHITE TEARS DON'T HAVE TO HAPPEN!!!

My prayer is that people will think more seriously about all the #Karens who don't give a second thought about the deadly consequences that often happen because of their phone calls.

People joke about them but Karens are Dangerous.

Late post! SO VERY VERY grateful to catch last week of @asherald work @highmuseumofart before tour ended.

Amy's intentional art is beyond moving!! The subjects look at you reminding you of the their beauty and resilience and the portrait of #breonnataylor is especially moving. Dress was picked out for her by Amy after family interview and art includes the wedding ring she never got to wear....

Most of the subjects of Amy's art posed for her or otherwise reimagined....

The National Portrait Gallery's loss was The High Museum's gain.

I don't usually curse but...

#freespeechmatters

P.S. #whitetearsfilm is dedicated to all the Black women who lost their lives far too soon....Breonna and all those before and after her... by @kayprism
