Swamp sunflower- Helianthus angustifolius. Look carefully and see them blooming now, in October! It can grow very tall, as much as 8 feet. It is a native and it is a beauty. This is growing in a pot in my front yard. Back in the Spring, I bought it for $2.00 from lady selling plants from her front yard. Best buy ever! Been wanting this for years. You can see them in ditches growing wild! taken in Conyers, Georgia by @kayrich83

Monarch butterfly on pansies at local nursery on Nov. 12th! I might have chased this one around a bit before I could get this quick shot. Butterfly chaser I might be but there are worse things! I saw only one other Monarch this year so my husband and I were well pleased to see this one. #nofilterneeded #monarchbutterfly #naturebeauty❤️ taken in Conyers, Georgia by @kayrich83

Diamorpha grows in the solution pits in rocky outcrops in the southeastern United States. It is bright red in the late fall and early winter. And then, in late March and early April, it blooms with exceptionally beautiful starlike white blooms. Walk only on the grey rock! The sandy pits will once again show the lovely red again but only if big feet are kept out of them! And dogs must be kept out too! Wouldn't it be a shame to lose beauty like this? This area was quarried heavily but nature is showing itself beautifully. taken in Arabia Mountain by @kayrich83

"For oft when on my couch I lie, in vacant or pensive mood- they flash upon that inward eye, which is the bliss of solitude. And then, my heart with pleasure fills and dances with the daffodils". I memorized that when I was a kid. Seems like we were required to memorize the first stanza but it was the ending that I learned by heart. "March flowers", my father told me that his mother called them. These usually bloom earlier here in Georgia but it has been a wet, cool winter. "I want to go where the leaves are burning, burning in scarlet and gold. The wind is up and my heart is turning, Again to the forest old." Lillie Belle Dimond-Artist, musician, poet and teacher. That line came to me...burning in scarlet and gold...when I saw these leaves from yesterday and today. Anybody else love the autumn colors? taken in Rockdale County by @kayrich83

Magical- "Beautiful or delightful in such a way as to seem removed from everyday life." The Yellow Daisies have been MAGICAL this month of September, 2020. I think the Monarch butterfly appreciates them also! Wish you could have heard all the busy bees on them too! This looks like the North Georgia mountains but it is not, it is from Arabia Mountain, not far from Atlanta, Georgia... you can just see the top of the tallest buildings from the very top! (Not in these photos, you'll just have to believe me.) Look for the magical moments! taken in Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area by @kayrich83
