FREESKIER Magazine Volume 28 Issue 2 - People & Places 📖

We’re fired up to launch our second print issue of the year, focusing on the People and Places that are shaping this winter. The Olympics are closing in, and our 2026 Winter Olympic preview highlights the freeskiers we’ll be watching closely, plus stories on all angles of the Games, from qualification to mental preparation and an inside look at the most competitive team in freeskiing.

Back in North America, we turn our attention to the resorts that rule them all. That’s right, resort rankings are back, baby! Bring on the debate. We’ll be unveiling our picks for the best pow, park, steeps and aprés spots on the continent, as well as the coveted overall Top 10.

On the cover, we’re proud to feature one of the finest up-and-comers in freeride @kaz.sosnkowski featured laying one out in Austria as shot by the talented @ricksorensenphoto. The skis on Sosnkowski’s feet represents a new chapter for one of skiing’s most storied brands: @blizzard_tecnica. Dive into what this new ski line brings to the table and the story behind its creation in this feature.

Well the Chile trip didn’t go to plan… Ended up breaking my fibula two days ago on the first run of the day. Just slightly overshot a landing and punch fronted. Here’s the clip and some of photos from the short trip. Was a sick one before that! @caution.media
