Meet Pacer, Kaz Thorburn 🏃‍♀️

“I’ve been running RFTY since 2016 and this year is my 9th year. I travel from Far North Qld to support Bec and her fantastic event ✈️

Being invited to be a Pacer at this event is a great opportunity to support the local running community and assist those with a goal of 4:30 Marathon 🎉

RFTY will be my 578th Marathon.” 🤩

576th Marathon 🏃‍♀️🫶
Melbourne Marathon Festival 🇦🇺
4:08:12 (BQ 12 mins) ✅
YTD 45
MEGAMARATHON List 592 ✅
Spartan x 12 Finishes

3 x Marathons
3 x Weeks
3 x Countries
Germany 🇩🇪 Poland 🇵🇱 Australia 🇦🇺

After a rather disturbing night with a fire alarm and evacuation at our hotel last night .. my sleep totally interrupted and so felt fatigue from the start today.
No excuses for this race .. I sure was tested from 30k where I felt fatigued and sluggish …. I just had to lock in and finish what I started … got it done 💪 #proudofme

Once again we’ve had the most amazing #runcation with my run schedule to complete these 3 Marathons over the past 3 weeks a most A-mazing experience with successful Pacing duties and another Melbourne Marathon now completed.

What’s next 🤔
More running .. but first a rest 😉
