B E A R - Things that have happened lately.
1. He finished grade 2
2. He’s got a heap of new words
3. He’s answering simple questions
4. He can dress himself completely
5. He went to the movies and sat through it all and actually loved it so much.
6. He got to see his cousin Booth.
7. He discovered sarcasm
8. He continues to get taller by @kazandjake

A Q - Jake, Bear, and I had the honor of attending the 2024 Autism Queensland Recognition Awards at Government House, where I was nominated for Parent of the Year. I didn’t win, but was runner up and for that I’m pretty grateful. Bear’s school were also a finalist in their category and it was so wonderful to see them acknowledged for all their hard work with Bear. Huge congrats to all the incredible winners and nominees. Lovely to also meet Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young.

B O O K S - What on earth do you go as for book week when some costumes make you feel “disgusting” (Bears words). We don’t like long sleeves or long pants or hoods or masks…. BUT, we do love Numberblocks and this costume is perfect for our little ASD Legend.
