A little seed… 🌱

I caught myself after the first attempt.

Not because the weight didn’t move…

But because of the conversation I immediately started having with myself.

It’s funny how quickly we can attach meaning to one moment.

Realising those conversations don’t just stay inside the gym.

They follow us into business.

Into relationships.

Into parenting.

Into the way we show up for ourselves every second of the day.

Into life entirely.

Maybe that’s the real training.

Paying attention to the story you’re telling yourself.

Most growth isn’t pretty.

Neither is this photo.

I could’ve just shared the polished version.

But that’s not me.

Real life isn’t polished.

And neither am I.

Never will be.

And that’s the point.

Only do real life here. ⚡️ by @kb_bellion_

This book was recommended to me about 8 years ago.

If you’d asked me back then whether I was a grateful person, I would’ve laughed and said, “Of course I am.”

I say thank you.
I appreciate people.
I’m grateful.
I appreciate the things I have in my life.

But I realised there’s a difference between being grateful… and practising gratitude.

I’d never really thought about that before.

Truthfully, learning about gratitude on a deeper level was a little confronting. It made me realise how often I’d been focusing on what was next, what wasn’t working, or what I still wanted… instead of truly appreciating what was already in front of me.

I’ve kept a gratitude practice ever since. It’s become something I even do together with my daughter.

But this week, a group of us have committed to going back through the full 28 day practice together.

Because we all know there’s another layer available when you stop just knowing something… and actually practise it.

Knowledge is a treasure, but practice is the key to it.🪄

I’ve been genuinely looking forward to doing it again.

If you’ve ever been curious about it, send me a message. I’ve got the PDF of it and I’m happy to share it. ✨

MOOD 🦋

“I’m one hell of a woman.” (Yeah I said it, with effing real confidence)

And I recognise that more and more every day.

Not because I’ve nailed life.

Absolutely not.

In fact, quite the opposite.

I’ve had some highs.
I’ve had some lows.
Then some highs.
Then some lows.

And right now? I’m very much in a rebuild era.

Still growing.
Still stretching.
Still chasing goals.
Still becoming.

But somewhere along the way I realised I’d spent years making self worth conditional.

(Not because there was something wrong with me. Because it was what I’d learned. And it’s something I’m still unlearning.)

Conditional on achievement.
Conditional on approval.
Conditional on getting things right.
Conditional on becoming “more.”

These days I’m learning something different.

That I get to love and respect myself now.

Not when I arrive.
Not when I achieve the next thing.
Not when life finally looks perfect.

Now.

That’s the flex.

Not confidence when life is going your way.

Not confidence when everyone agrees with you.

Not confidence when people are clapping.

The kind that exists when none of that is happening.

And you still back yourself anyway.

The older I get, the less impressed I am by perfection.

And the more impressed I am by women who choose depth over surface.

Women who fall down.
Stretch themselves.
Get themselves into rooms that challenge them.
Take hits.
Get back up.
And keep backing themselves anyway.

Not because life has been easy.

Because they’ve decided they are worth backing.

Here’s something I’ve learnt through becoming more of myself…

The older I get, the less interested I am in being understood by everyone.

Some people will think you’re too much.

too ambitious.
too opinionated.
too emotional.
too independent.
too loud.
too quiet.
too intense.
too okay with standing alone and not following the crowd.

But other people’s perceptions aren’t your identity.

remember that.

Because choosing to live as your” true “self takes some fucking big balls in the first place. ⚡️

and sometimes you’ll disappoint people simply by becoming more yourself.

don’t let that stop you.

cartwheel anyway 🤸🏾‍♀️

What’s something you’ve become less interested in as you’ve gotten older? Even your 20 something still fitting! taken in Australia by @kb_bellion_

“Girl, you’re so strong.”

Yeah. And I’ve been lifting for three decades.
Not perfectly, but consistently over time.
Heavily. Intentionally.

And the mindset?
That’s been trained just as hard for the last decade.

Showing up when it’s uncomfortable.
Doing the inner work when no one can see it.
Building discipline, self-trust, and resilience rep by rep.

Sure, genetics play a role.
Upbringing plays a role.
Environment plays a role.

But no one is born strong.
Not physically.
Not mentally.
Not emotionally.

Strength is built by the work you choose to do yourself.

And here’s the part most people don’t realise until they’re in it.

You don’t understand how much effort strength takes
until you decide to build it.

And when you’ve put the years in…
when your body reflects the years, not just the workouts…

You realise something most people never get to feel.

It was worth it. Every single rep.

Same in training.
Same in business.
Same in life.

So if you’re looking at a woman and thinking
“Fuck… I want what she has”

Good.

That’s your cue to stop admiring and start committing.

Because the women you admire didn’t get lucky.
They got consistent.

Follow me @kb_bellion_ if you’re already doing the work no one claps for.

We see each other here.⚡️ taken in Australia by @kb_bellion_

For a long time I thought happiness lived somewhere else.

The next milestone.
The next achievement.
The next version of me.

But the older I get, the more I realise that peace comes from appreciating what you’ve already built while still growing toward what you want.

I’m not interested in creating a life that impresses everyone.

I’m interested in creating one that feels good to live.

That’s enough for me. ⚡️🌿 taken in Australia by @kb_bellion_

Maybe that little Year 10 Peer Mediator badge wasn’t about conflict resolution after all.

Maybe it was the first clue that my work would always be creating spaces where people feel safe enough to tell themselves the truth.

Because sometimes the most radical thing you can do is witness someone’s truth without trying to change it.

Sometimes my role is simply to hold that truth for a moment...

Until a woman is ready to hold herself fully again.

28 years later...

That’s still the work.⚡️ taken in Australia by @kb_bellion_

Be proud of how quietly you’ve carried things that could have hardened you.

Some battles don’t leave visible scars.

They remind you who you are, what you value, and why you’ll never trade your truth for belonging. 🦋

She reached for my hand and all I could think was…

These are the moments.

A little tradition I’ve captured for years... hand in hand. Ever since she was a bub.

Maybe one day she’ll be too cool to hold Mum’s hand… But she will always know that mine will be there, ready to hold hers whenever she needs it.🤍

Not everyone’s cup of tea.

Never was.

Too busy backing ourselves and the humans who appreciate our energy.

Busiest I’ve ever been.

Most present I’ve ever been.

More spreadsheets.

More responsibility.

More health.

More “can my daughter and dog come too?” decisions.

Less proving.

Less rushing.

Less pretending busy = success.

Funny how that works.

If this kind of perspective resonates, stick around. taken in Australia by @kb_bellion_

Dipping my toes into the first few weeks of what I’m calling my Beneath the Surface Recalibration… and making changes slowly.

Because let’s be honest this girl will rear her head if I try to change my whole life overnight 🤷🏻‍♀️

What’s already landing for me?

Maybe health isn’t about stacking more.

More supplements.
More powders.
More “must have” wellness fixes.

Maybe it starts with the baseline.

The things we think we already know… but maybe haven’t understood deeply enough.

And honestly? One of my biggest lightbulb moments so far has been around the thing humans literally can’t survive without.

Not sexy. Not trendy. Not another shiny thing to buy.

Just… foundations.

Because what’s the point of pouring all the good stuff into the engine if the baseline isn’t supported enough for your body to actually absorb what you’re giving it?

That kind of stuff isn’t usually what marketing sells us.

Marketing says: buy the next thing.

But I’m getting increasingly curious about what happens when we support the basics first.

Less stacking.
More understanding.

Less noise.
More listening.

I’m not pretending I know it all.

I’m re learning.

Going deeper.

And honestly, at the oldest I’ve ever been… I think I’m more interested than ever in seeing what this body is actually capable of ⚡️

I’ll be sharing little updates, thoughts & lightbulb moments in my stories as I go if this kind of thing interests you, come follow along. taken in Australia by @kb_bellion_
