🙆‍♀ I don’t see clients, I see people 💜🤗

🙋‍♀ Hello! My name is Katja. I hold a degree in Kinesiology and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and I am an Osteopath, a graduate of the Madrid School of Osteopathy. I also specialize in Pediatric Osteopathy, am MEP Sport certified, and have completed training with the Barral Institute, Upledger Institute, and Stecco. Because if there’s one thing I truly love, it’s continuing to learn 🧠—I’ve been training for 15 years already, and this is just the beginning 💪. ⁣
⁣
Having made the formal introduction 📣 Welcome to Osteo.dk! 💥 This account is designed for you—those who want to learn about their bodies and discover which not-so-healthy habits may be affecting them. Learning about this helps us prevent illness and also understand that there can be non-surgical and non-pharmacological solutions to pain and discomfort 💔. ⁣
⁣
💡 My goal with this space is for you to gain a deeper understanding of osteopathy and its scope, to learn how to listen to your body, and to understand it as a whole. ⁣
⁣
May your best medicine be prevention and daily self-care. Shall we begin?

🙆‍♀No veo pacientes, veo personas 💜🤗⁣

Today I want to introduce someone very special in my life and also in my professional path: Katja.
Besides being my partner, she is a physiotherapist and osteopath, with a sensitivity and precision that I deeply admire.

Even though our schedules are often quite full —thank God and thanks to steady work— we still find ways to combine our strengths and offer couples massage, an experience that brings together two complementary approaches to the body and wellbeing.

If you’d like to learn more about her work, you can follow her on Instagram: @osteo.dk
Her approach is as professional as it is human, and I know many of you could benefit from what she does.

Thank you for being part of this journey that keeps growing, now also as a team.

Listening, the most important part of the session 👂🤲
⠀
First, I listen to what the person shares: their story, their symptoms, how they feel. 🗣️
Then, I listen with my hands: the body has its own language—subtle yet precise—and well-trained hands can read it. 🧠💬
⠀
Sometimes, both versions align.
Other times, the body reveals something the person has forgotten (a surgery, a fall, a blow, an accident from years ago) but that is still present in the tissues. 🧍‍♀️🌀
⠀
The memory of the tissues does not fail.
And the importance of listening to both narratives—the spoken and the bodily one—lies in being able to put together the full story, so we can intervene with precision and respect for what that body needs.

______________________________________________________________________

⠀
A veces, ambas versiones coinciden.

🧗‍♂️ How long has it been since you last climbed? ✨

At osteopathy school, they used to tell us that bouldering was an incredibly well-rounded activity. I already saw it as a powerful health tool.

But until now, it was just theory—I had never experienced it myself.
Where I lived before, there wasn’t a place nearby to try it.
Until yesterday… the opportunity came, and I lived it.

💥 It was incredibly fun, challenging, and very eye-opening.

And while I was climbing, I kept thinking:
When was the last time I climbed? What a shame to have stopped and let that skill stagnate.

I’m an adult in 2025, and like all of you, this is what happens to me: 🤔 Nowadays, we no longer need to climb to find our food.
Thousands of years ago, climbing was part of daily life—it was necessary for survival. Our arms, shoulders, back, and core were active all the time.

But in modern life… that’s been lost.
🚶‍♂️ We spend hours sitting: in front of the computer, on the couch, on public transport, in the car…
🪑 And that whole upper part of the body ends up underused, almost asleep.

That leads to tension, pain, discomfort.
Not because we’re broken… but because we’re disconnected.

Bouldering brings that connection back.
It activates us. It wakes us up. And on top of that, it does so through play 🧒💪

Some of its benefits:
🌿 Improves strength, mobility, and coordination
🧠 Stimulates concentration and body awareness
🌀 Releases stress and improves mood
🕺 And above all: it makes you feel a beautiful sense of vitality!

Thank you @bioenergetica.dk for joining me, guiding me, reflecting, and having fun with me.
I highly recommend it—now truly from my own experience.

🌬️ Inside your body there is a rhythm many people are unaware of…
It’s not set by the lungs 🫁
Nor by the heart ❤️

It’s the Primary Respiratory Mechanism (PRM)—a subtle pulsation that moves about 6 to 12 times per minute, like an inner tide 🌊🌀

This movement originates in the central nervous system, drives the cerebrospinal fluid 💧, gently mobilizes the cranial bones, and reaches all the way to the sacrum 🧠🦴

When this rhythm is altered—by stress, tension, or held emotions—the body feels it.
Through craniosacral therapy, we learn to listen to this pulse, support it, and create space for it to self-regulate 🤲✨

It’s not about doing. It’s about allowing.
Letting the body remember its own rhythm. Its balance. Its peace 🌱💫 taken in Copenhagen, Dennmark by @kbhands.on

The diaphragm, an ally in breathing and posture — did you know that? 🤯

Let’s talk about posture and diaphragmatic (dys)function 👇 What happens if the #diaphragm is not able to contract optimally? 🤔

🙅‍♀️ It cannot descend fully and prevents deep breathing. Therefore, the first effect is a reduction in inspiratory capacity 😦. The front part cannot descend to the same level as the back, and (considering how many times we breathe each day) imbalances are created in the SPINAL COLUMN:
1️. Thoracic hyperkyphosis
 2️⃣. Lumbar hyperlordosis

Here’s a video of a maneuver to unlock it 🙌

Did you know the importance of the diaphragm?

____________________________________________________________________
