“Don’t tell anyone about these spots…” 👀
Yeah… I’m about to do exactly that.
If you say you know Wake County but haven’t tried THESE… you’re missing the real local scene:
🍳 Pam’s Farmhouse Cafe - Raleigh, NC
No frills. Just plates that feel like they came straight out of your grandma’s kitchen.
🔥 Aubrey and Peedies Grill - Wendell, NC
Blink and you’ll miss it, but the food? You won’t forget it.
🥘 The Forks Cafeteria - Wake Forest, NC
Old-school cafeteria style done RIGHT. This is comfort food at its peak.
🍔 County Line Grocery & Grill - Right on the Franklin/Wake County line
Gas station on the outside… some of the best food in the area on the inside.
🍟 The Burger Shop - Wake Forest, NC
Simple menu. Big flavor. The kind of place locals don’t gatekeep… but probably should.
Real talk—these are the spots that make a place feel like home.

This is what small-town living really tastes like.
Save this for later 📍
And if you’ve got a spot that deserves to be on this list… drop it below 👇

↠ Get to know me!

My name is Kelsie Marie Buffaloe, I am 22 years old and live in the Raleigh, NC area. I grew up on a farm, which is where I still reside. I am currently in the process of planning to build my dream home! 🥳

I am a former pageant girl, and model! I have held the title MAR-USA Teen Miss USA, and I’ve walked in New York Fashion Week. I have a boyfriend of about 1 year, and we have the sweetest dog, Baylee. On Saturdays, we’re cheering on the Wolfpack. You can find us either at Carter Finley stadium or watching the game on TV. 🏈 My favorite past times are painting, reading, & going to the beach. I’ve written 5 books that are published on Amazon.

I hold a diploma from NC State University in construction project management. I’ve been working at Gregory Poole Equipment Company for the past 2 years. This is where my love for the construction industry was born.👷🏼‍♀️ I am currently in school to obtain my real estate brokers license, with only a few short months left. Next, I will be working on getting my General Contractors license. My goal is to be able to open my own business building and selling custom built homes right here in the triangle. For all your real estate & construction needs, I’ll be your girl! 💁🏼‍♀️

Fun fact about me: I am also a certified clinical medical assistant & a dental assistant! My original career path was in the medical field. It’s funny where life takes you! ❤️ taken in North Carolina by @kbknowsnc

If you’ve been around for a while, you may remember this page as KB Sells NC.
When I originally started this page, I thought my path would eventually lead me into actively selling real estate.
My career took me in a different direction — but my love for real estate, beautiful homes, and North Carolina never went anywhere.

Welcome to KB Knows NC. 🤍

WHEN PEOPLE THINK OF A CAREER IN REAL ESTATE, THEY USUALLY THINK OF ONE THING.

Selling houses. 🏡

But the industry is so much bigger than that.

Builders, developers, attorneys, title professionals, lenders, marketers, project managers, designers, and so many others all play a part.

One of the things I enjoy most about real estate is how many different industries and specialties come together.

My own background has taken me through construction, marketing, client relations, and now the legal side of real estate.

Different roles, but so many overlapping skills and connections.

And I think that’s one of the most interesting things about building a career. Sometimes the experience you gain in one industry becomes exactly what you need in another.

Thomas came to look at houses.

I came to pick out my future closet, plan Thanksgiving dinner, and decide where the Christmas tree is going.

We were apparently attending two very different events. 🤣🎄 taken in North Hills, Raleigh, North Carolina by @kbknowsnc

SO YOU WANT TO WORK IN REAL ESTATE? 👀🏡
Well, here’s a little advice I wish more people talked about!
When most people think about a career in real estate, their minds immediately go to becoming an agent. And while that’s an incredible career path, it’s only one piece of a MUCH bigger industry.
There’s title, real estate law, construction, development, marketing, business development, lending, and so much more.
And the more I’ve experienced different sides of the industry, the more I’ve realized just how connected everything really is.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned? You don’t have to know exactly where you want to end up to start building a career worth having.
Ask questions. Make connections. Learn what happens behind the scenes. And don’t be afraid to explore opportunities that weren’t originally on your radar.
I’m certainly still learning myself, but I’ve picked up a few things along the way that I think are worth sharing!
Here are 5 things I’d tell anyone thinking about getting into real estate. 👉🏼
And for my fellow real estate professionals, I’m curious! What’s ONE thing you wish someone had told you when you first entered the industry? 👇🏼

POV: You went to the Triangle Parade of Homes for inspiration and left with champagne taste and a very unrealistic budget. 🤭🏡

The kitchens. The details. The DREAM homes.

Mentally moved into at least three of them. 😂✨

✨ IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS… AND THESE BUILDERS DID NOT COME TO PLAY. 😍🏡
Triangle Parade of Homes | Part 3
Okay, I saved some of the best for last!
After touring several homes during the Triangle Parade of Homes, I can confidently say my dream home wish list has gotten significantly longer. 😂
The statement lighting. The custom cabinetry. The gorgeous kitchens. The architectural details. The outdoor living spaces. And don’t even get me started on the hidden pantries! 👀
But what really caught my attention was how much thought went into making these homes both beautiful AND functional.
Because a stunning kitchen is one thing, but a stunning kitchen that’s thoughtfully designed for everyday living? That’s where the magic happens. ✨
One of the things I love about real estate and new construction is seeing how design trends evolve, how builders continue to innovate, and how the smallest details can completely transform a space.
And after seeing so many beautiful homes, I’ve officially decided that I have expensive taste and a very active imagination. 🤭
A huge shoutout to the talented builders, designers, and teams who brought these homes to life. The craftsmanship and creativity on display were incredible!
I’m wrapping up my Parade of Homes photo series with some of the features and finishes that really caught my eye.
Now tell me… if you could steal ONE feature from any of these homes for your own, what would it be?! 🏡👇

🏡THE TRIANGLE UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT. 👏✨

Triangle Parade of Homes | Part 2

Raleigh’s luxury homebuilders are playing in a league of their own, and these four homes ranging from $3.3 MILLION to $9.5 MILLION certainly proved it! 👀

What I found especially interesting was seeing the level of luxury new construction happening within Raleigh’s established neighborhoods like North Ridge, North Hills Estates, and Chestnut Hills.

Because in real estate, location matters. But so do thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and the details that make a property stand out.

Here’s a closer look at four incredible homes I toured!

🏡 Wimbleton’s Playground | Homescapes Builders
📍 Chestnut Hills | $6.25M

Modern European architecture, dramatic windows, and resort-inspired outdoor living.

🏡 The Vanderbilt | @raleighcustomhomes
📍 North Ridge | $9.5M

Nearly 10,000 square feet overlooking North Ridge Country Club, complete with a golf simulator, wine cellar, and private wellness spaces. Oh, and the most expensive home ever introduced to the Triangle Parade of Homes! 😳

🏡 Greystone Manor | @dougher_development_co
📍 North Ridge | $3.3M

French Country elegance meets modern luxury. Timeless architecture with beautiful craftsmanship throughout.

🏡 The Hydrangea House | @rockcreekbuilders
📍 North Hills Estates | $3.45M

MY PERSONAL FAVORITE!💙

Hydrangeas have always been my favorite flower, so the name already had me sold. But the Southern charm, classic architecture, and Nantucket inspired outdoor living spaces sealed the deal! 😍

Four homes. Four talented builders. Four completely different approaches to luxury living.

Raleigh’s custom home market is certainly one worth watching!

Now tell me…which one would YOU choose?!🏡👇🏼

I’ll be over at The Hydrangea House trying to make my imaginary budget work. 🤭

🏡 OKAY, PARADE OF HOMES… YOU HAVE MY ATTENTION. 😍
I spent some time touring several homes during the Triangle Parade of Homes, and WOW. The builders around the Triangle absolutely showed out!
The kitchens. The lighting. The floor plans. The outdoor spaces. The tiny details I didn’t even know I needed until I saw them. 👀✨
There’s something about walking through a beautiful home that immediately has you mentally moving in, rearranging the furniture, and figuring out how to explain why you absolutely need a hidden pantry. 😂
But beyond all the pretty finishes and beautiful spaces, I genuinely enjoyed getting an up close look at what’s happening in new construction right here in the Triangle.
Having worked in different areas of the real estate industry, I love opportunities like this to get out, explore our local market, see what builders are creating, and pick up a little inspiration along the way.
And let me tell you, there was PLENTY of inspiration to go around!
Needless to say, my camera roll is overflowing, my dream home wish list has gotten a little out of hand, and my imaginary budget is officially blown. 🤭
I took WAY too many pictures to squeeze into one post, so consider this Part 1! 📸
Coming up next: A closer look at some of the incredible homes, builders, and design details that caught my eye.
Stay tuned, because these homes deserve their moment! 🏡✨

59%. Let that sink in for a second. 🚨🏡

That’s the percentage of surveyed title firms that reported at least one seller impersonation fraud attempt in 2025, according to research from the American Land Title Association.

In an earlier study? That number was 28%.

That’s quite a jump.

And it highlights something I don’t think gets talked about nearly enough outside of the real estate industry.

There’s a whole lot more happening behind the closing table than most people realize.

When someone buys or sells a home, they see the contracts, the paperwork, the signatures, and hopefully a smooth closing day.

What they don’t always see is the work that goes into verifying information, identifying potential red flags, and protecting the integrity of the transaction.

And as technology evolves, so do the tactics used by fraudsters.

That’s why the people, processes, and safeguards behind every real estate transaction matter so much.

Because at the end of the day, getting to the closing table is important. Making sure everyone gets there safely is even more important.

This is one of those industry trends I think every real estate professional should be paying attention to.

Have you noticed an increase in fraud prevention conversations within your organization?

We had a great Saturday morning at the 24th Annual Paws for Life NC 5K! 🐾💙
A beautiful morning, a great crowd, lots of happy pups, and an even better cause. Definitely not a bad way to start the weekend!
And we may be a little biased, but one of the highlights of the morning was our girl Lacee taking home 2nd place in the pet costume contest! 🐶🏆 Somehow I didn’t get a single picture of her in her costume, so I’m crossing my fingers that someone there caught one! 😂🐾
It was such a pleasure to be out in the community supporting Paws for Life NC and the work they do for animals in need. I’m always grateful for opportunities to give back, especially when there are four legged friends involved!
There are so many ways to make a difference right here in our own communities. Volunteer, show up, donate, or simply lend a helping hand when you can. Find a cause that means something to you and get involved. You never know the impact a little time and support can make. 💙
Here’s to more Saturdays spent giving back, making a difference, and apparently winning costume contests along the way! ✨🐾
