Kasandra Rodriguez, MD! 🇵🇷

This past weekend has been nothing short of surreal. This journey has been hard—mentally, emotionally, spiritually. But this weekend reminded me that every sleepless night, every sacrifice, every tear was worth it. To be surrounded by the people I love most—my family and friends—celebrating this huge milestone meant the world to me.

To my brothers and sisters- thank you for your constant support and for always reminding me of the strength I have that I sometimes forget I have. To my friends: thank you. Thank you for the late night check-ins, the words of encouragement, the shared laughs when things got heavy, and the reminders to keep going when the finish line felt out of reach. To my boyfriend, Chris—thank you for standing by me through the highs and the lows. Your love has been a grounding force. To my godparents, Marilyn and Esther and my tia Iris- thank you for being such a beautiful, encouraging, and nurturing presence in my life. Your kindness has lifted me more than you know.

And to my parents… I don’t know what I did to deserve you both, but I thank God every single day that you’re mine. Your love, your strength, your sacrifices—this degree is as much yours as it is mine. I am because you are. I am so grateful.

This weekend, I felt seen, supported, loved, and overwhelmingly happy. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with me and who has walked even one step of this journey alongside me. I’ll carry this feeling in my heart forever. 💙 by @kbuonato
