35. 🥂 Happy Birthday to Moi

There’s something beautiful about arriving at an age you once imagined, only to realize the beauty was never just in getting here, but in everything it took to become the woman standing here.

34 was a year of evolution and stillness, somehow all at once. A year of growing into myself while learning to be still with who I already am. Of answered prayers, unexpected lessons, quiet victories, and discovering that growth doesn’t always announce itself.

And now, somewhere in Spain, I’m reflecting on a life that has been equal parts beautiful, complicated, and extraordinary. Grateful for what was, at peace with what wasn’t, and genuinely excited for all that has yet to be.

I’m learning that I don’t have to have everything figured out to appreciate how beautifully life is unfolding.

So here’s to 35. To living deeply, loving immensely, laughing loudly, and never losing my whimsy. To God be the Glory

CAN I TESTIFY?
I’ve been promoted to a National Director role, and I thank God because this journey has not been easy.
Almost three years ago, I left what was once my dream job. I left because it became the place where my son passed away. Every hallway and every corner carried that memory, and my heart could not stay.
God promoted me into a Senior Project Manager role and gave me space to grow, work hard, and rebuild myself. Today that work was recognized in a way that means more than anyone knows.
These last few weeks have been emotional. Amir’s birthday was only days ago and grief has been heavy. Even so, I am learning that I can honor my pain and still celebrate this moment.
Two truths. One heart.

Favor looks like melanin in the sun by @kc.cooks

One year married to my fine ass husband and what a journey it has been. If this year has taught me anything, it is that we are all we got. We have learned to lean on each other more and more, finding strength in places we did not know we had and joy in the simple moments that belong only to us.
Through it all, I am grateful for your love, your patience, and your partnership. I pray that God continues to cover our union and our family, keeping us grounded in faith and overflowing in love. Year one is just the beginning. Here’s to forever together ❤️ @100waydre by @kc.cooks

I used to think healing would be easier by now. Still grieving.
My body and mind have been fighting for years.
Since the end of February, I decided to fight for myself instead.
I’m down 15 pounds and stronger than I could ever imagine.
Learning to love my mom bod, even without a little one.
IFYKYK -it’s been real work.
10 pounds to go, but the biggest shift isn’t the scale, it’s how I see myself.
Here’s to growth you can’t measure on a scale.
Thanks be to God for keeping my mind. Depression isn’t my portion.
