2025: The year “See you soon” finally turned into “Welcome home.”

Three more trips to Germany—including a weekend getaway to France, a surprise trip with Sam’s mom, 14 days traveling around Europe, and Sam proposing. It was a year defined by way too much pizza, plenty of cocktails/beer, and watching our friends get engaged, married, and grow their families.

I also officially became a basketball person… if I wasn’t one already. Ranging from High School to ProA, plus staying up until 5 AM in Germany to cheer on the Pacers—I’ve spent more time at the court than anywhere else (and that number is only going up).

The best part? My long-distance international relationship turned into a lifetime roommate. Brody is more than thrilled to finally have a step-dad. This year pushed me, and while I’m not sure what side of the ocean we might be living on next year, 2026 is looking even better.
