As we shared our plans for the week-long adventure, our kids responded with excitement and said, “it’s like the road trip we did last spring break”.

It was similar, but this time we packed a lot more than just bikes. We fully embraced the adventure, capacity of our truck and nearly everything Southern Utah has to offer; for the most epic, close-to-home road trip imaginable.

Huge thanks to the incredible team at @letsplayfight - @michaeldkern @gasslamp @tommychandler for documenting the adventures.

This @visitutah experience was simply another chapter from the book of memories @myalldayparty and I are making with our kiddos. And we can’t wait to plan the next round.

A message for my athletes.
Be big, be bold, be confident. But never lose sight of who you are and why you’re in this sport.

Never compare what you’ve done to the success of others. In a competitive environment, this can be extremely challenging. Training and racing is about YOU, and what you need to do to find success and achieve your goals. Work more to outdo yourself and focus on your personal growth.

Coming up short can feel very public. Being at the top can feel that way as well. But know this… people will remember you more by how you reacted to your results, vs the position you finished.

When you do come up short, and it will happen a lot; know that you will learn more from that experience than any finish at the top. And don’t for one second think that you’ve let anyone down because of this.

Recognize that bike racing is a byproduct of pursuing something bigger than yourself. The process alone is bigger and more important than any finish line. She's off for another solo adventure! Since 2021, Shannon has tried to slip away for a few days or a full week on a solo camping and road trip adventure.

She plans the destinations, routes, and where she'll sleep each night. Most of the time, it's a place she hasn't been before... Other times, she simply says, "I'll figure it out along the way."

As much as I wish I could join her, I love that she dedicates this trip to herself and flies solo.

Happy Birthday @myalldayparty! Safe travels, and I can't wait to hear all about your adventure when you return.

My good friend Aaron O’Brien has been working on something amazing this summer.

@restoar_rivertrips is a river company who’s focus isn’t to provide an experience, but to share one together.

“Running rivers isn’t the full time job, recovery is. If you or someone you know is struggling from substance abuse, RESTOAR provides peer support, detox recommendations, recovery resources and maaaaybe a trout or two”

Rider and I has the pleasure of running the Green with Aaron, earlier this summer. He shared with me his ideas and commitment to sharing growth and healing moments on the river. It was an incredible trip for us and I can’t wait to see the impact this amazing program has.

What an incredible experience.
When documentary filmmaker @kdudgeonphoto calls looking for an extra hand on set, it’s best to grab your things and go.

Compared to this crew and the biologists on the top of the mountain, my knowledge of raptor migration is almost nonexistent… but I’m head over heels fascinated with the work and process to capture it.

Thank you @kadydaylieber for tossing my name in the hat and it was so much fun hanging with you, Kyle, meeting the crew and climbing that mountain a few times.

Not a day goes by that I don’t think about this guy. I often wonder if he had a favorite time of year to run the trails. A favorite trail. Or destination.

My guess is that because he loved so big, there wasn’t room for favorites. No room to love someone or somewhere more than another. taken in Farmington, Utah by @kdayracing

World class, dad vibes.

We stoped and told a different version of the same joke at least a dozen times. You could hear us from across the canyon. And all of us at one point probably took state.

The most important part, is that 20+ years later, we’re still riding bikes, laughing till we’re too tired to pedal and loving every bit of it.
