Thirteen years. That's how long we've been doing this, and it still surprises people when it comes up.
Honestly, that's on us. If you just picked up your first Elantra N, Veloster, Forte, Stinger, or a K5, there's a good chance you've never heard of us. We've spent a lot of years pointing a camera at race cars and almost none of it at the shop itself, which is where the actual work happens every day.

So here's the part nobody really says out loud. We sell parts because selling parts is what keeps us alive. It's what pays for us to go racing. The racing is where we find out what actually holds up and what doesn't, and that's what turns into the next part we build. Then that part goes on the shelf and funds the next season. That's the whole loop, and it's been running since 2013. It's also why we don't put our name on something we wouldn't run ourselves.

We're going to do a better job of showing you this side of it. The builds, the fab work, the boxes going out the door, all of it.

11 days to get this thing running for the dyno, and 26 days to @globaltimeattack... we are getting nervous.

Body is fitted with only minor touches left. ABS removed for relocation, which was not the plan for GTA... however, we're doing a little "because we can" and needed the space. Chassis and rear subfloor are completed, and we started the turbo setup tonight. Dyno is scheduled for the 29th and there's a ton to nail down before then... Engine is still on a stand in 100 pieces rather than 1,000, so that's positive!

Things left to do:
- Engine reassembly
- Turbo kit (@turbosmarthq everything)
- Fueling (in-tank fuel pump,@injectordynamics injectors, fuel lines, etc.)
- Customize our @weldspeed manifold to move sensors and add heat sinks
- Reposition radiator
- Build front end chassis and bumper stays
- Mold headlights in
- Mount front bumper
- Reroute intercooler piping
- Install fire system
- Flat floor
- Diffuser
- Build suspension: our @neotech_usa NeoTrack coilovers, corner balance, etc.
- Rattle can this sucker or sticker party
- Add @plastic4performance windscreen
- @liquimoly.usa.canada fluids
- Build our Neotech Evo6 titanium brakes w/ @gloc_brakes pads
- Mount comms from @Sampsonracingradios
- Relocate our @antigravitybatteries

KDM Tuners spent a full GRIDLIFE season putting this Elantra N radiator to work.

For 2026, their #66 Elantra N turned to @koyorad’s all-aluminum performance radiator for thermal management.

After a full season of Street-class Track Battle competition, we caught up with KDM Tuners to get their take on the radiator, the installation, and what they learned along the way.

For the last two years, our Elantra N and Veloster N has been running something no one else we know of has put in a Hyundai: an Evo X oil pump.

Our friend @olegproservice brought us the idea, and two full Gridlife seasons later, we're ready to talk about it.

The factory 2.0T uses a giant combined balance shaft and oil pump. It weighs 14 lbs, and inside it there are six places that can fail. That's a lot of risk riding on one part when you're beating on the car all weekend. The TCR cars cut the balance shafts, but that still leaves the big factory assembly and the potential for oil pressure issues. We wanted to fix the problem, not work around it.

Making the Evo pump live in a Hyundai took three gear sets, two chains, four guides, two tensioners, an upper oil pan from a completely different car, a welder, and plenty of "I hope this works."

It worked better than we expected:
• 10 lbs lighter (4 lbs vs 14 lbs)
• No balance shafts, so no power-robbing rotating mass
• One extra quart of oil to help with starvation and cooling
• 30 psi at idle around 1,000 rpm, same as OEM

And the vibration everyone warns about? Zero issues. Two full Gridlife seasons, three-day weekends, four 20-minute sessions a day, on solid engine mounts that everyone says not to run.

This works on any Hyundai N engine with the factory balancer oil pump setup.

When we build engines, we don't just slap parts in and call it "blueprinted." These little things make all the difference. Full video coming soon, along with more cool nerd stuff.

I love this team. This collection of misfits. This group of dudes that are all really good at a lot of things, and are all weird, and all can really bounce off each other. And I'm not just referring to the ones pictured; the faces change per event but we're all still unified with this passion that spans across the country. We build the cars, we drive them fast, & we're out there creating memories and capturing moments of lives well lived.

Laguna was our last stop on the @gridlifeofficial 2026 season. I must say this was the best turn out we have seen at Gridlife Laguna since we have been coming. Was a good hang with all our California friends, family, @norcal_n_club and @socal_n_club.

We were able to get @evillamotorsports (Eli Villa) out to get some seat time in Gltc. @ateam87_z28.r did a tremendous job taking home a podium. @illwillem broke yet another record in Street class and took home a podium.

Saturday night we had a BBQ with all our friends from @turn14 @eibach_world @wrenchmob_motorsports , Gridlife staff, @pbbuddy.app @duran.industries some of the @socaldriversclub boys, @raceffpod @whats_up_player @socalmotorsportz and many others. Our great partners @liquimoly.usa.canada and @seiboncarbon were with us all weekend. Followed by a killer party at the main stage.

Although some of the team couldn't make it out @jordanwisely (car broke) @c.delucia (car broke) they were with us in spirit.

What a amazing year with lots of ups and downs. Lots of bonding moments that we will cherish for a lifetime. Its the roads we travel and memories we made that mean the most. The racing well... that was pretty awesome aswell 🤪

Huge shout out to all our family, friends, and partners that allow us to do what we do. Cant thank you enough!

40 days until Global Time Attack.

A few weeks ago this was the #66 Elantra N that took P2 in the Gridlife Street championship. Right now it's been taken down to the bones and is slowly being put back together as something very different: a Limited car for Buttonwillow.

The crate finally showed up, and the new aero came out of it. There's a front bumper and splitter, wide fenders, side skirts, and a rear diffuser that's almost as wide as the shop door. Everything is still raw while we test-fit and trim, but seeing that front end hang on the car for the first time was a good day for everyone here.

Inside, the cage keeps growing. The rear structure now ties into the strut towers, the roof hoops are getting paint, and the whole back half of the car has been opened up. Carbon is going in wherever we can put it: rear doors and quarter windows on quick-release fasteners, the roof, and a new trunk floor panel. It's all about getting this thing down toward weight. The battery has also moved to an Antigravity lithium unit mounted low and inboard.

The goal hasn't changed. We're hunting the Limited FWD mark at Buttonwillow 13CW, which is currently a 1:45 set by Will Drees in the Prelude. That means Will gets to try to beat his own record, and he's not the type to be gracious about it.

Thirty-one days, a lot of late nights, and a shop full of people who don't know how to quit. We'll keep posting as it comes together.
