Cheerleading is not a sport…

Yeah, we said it.

It’s culture. It’s history. It’s power. 🖤📣

In honor of Black History Month, KeanUCheer recognizes the legacy of Stomp & Shake; a style born at HBCUs like Winston-Salem State University and Virginia State University in the late 1970s that forever changed cheerleading.

Built on rhythm, chants, precision, and unapologetic confidence, Stomp & Shake created space for Black cheerleaders to lead with strength and presence.

KeanUCheer honor’s the culture that continues to shape the sideline and inspire generations. 🖤

Good thing we in New Jersey though 😅💙📣

Great work on Day 1 of KeanUCheer recruitment! The energy and effort in the room did not go unnoticed!

As we head into Day 2 today, make sure you’re reviewing the material and practicing full-out. Clean motions, sharp timing, strong voices. It ALL matters!💙

We continue Thursday, March 5th for Day 3. Stay locked in.🐾

February 24, 2023 — the day this program became more than just a team. 💙📣

In three years, Kean U Cheer has become a place of growth, resilience, and sisterhood. A place where early practices turned into lifelong memories. Where challenges turned into strength. Where teammates became family🤞🏽📣

This program has shaped us ; not just as athletes, but as women. It has taught us how to trust, how to lead, how to push through, and how to stand strong beside one another no matter the circumstance💙

Every stomp, every shake, every sideline & every moment has meant something✨

Three Years Strong.
Est. 2023.

Forever grateful for the bond we share and the legacy we continue to build together. 💙
