God is good!!

This week we stood where Paul gave his defense for Christ before King Agrippa, touched the bema that he was tied to on trail, swam in the waters at the port where he set sail from Corinth to Ephesus, and had the gift of serving at a kids camp for Ukrainian refugee children.

Walking through places I have read about was a powerful reminder that the Bible holds records of real people, real places, and a very real God who has been faithfully accomplishing His plan throughout history.

One of the greatest gifts of this trip was spending time with children whose lives and families have been torn by war, yet whose joy and laughter point to the Lord’s sustaining grace. I left overwhelmed with gratitude for the way God has preserved them and carried them to safety.

The same God who strengthened Paul to boldly proclaim the gospel in the first century is still accomplishing His plan today. What a joy to witness His faithfulness in places where the gospel was first preached and in the lives of children who are living testimonies of His protection and grace.

Four years ago today, I ran to the water to be washed in the blood of Christ.

An outward declaration of what had already taken place inside my heart—a deep, transformative cleansing. Today, with boldness and confidence in Christ, I stand before my Father in His throne room. I stand vulnerable, broken, and scarred by both my own sin and the pain of a fallen world. But He doesn’t see that. All He sees is my eyes fixed on Him, because the blood of Jesus covers me completely, from head to toe. Righteous blood! Blood that not only covers my sins but has the power to cover the sins of everyone who has ever lived.

There is a war for your soul, a battle fought by an enemy who is consumed with bitterness over his fate and is desperately trying to drag you down with him. But the victory has already been won by Jesus! He offers you the free gift of salvation.

His love is beyond anything we can comprehend, and on a day that celebrates love, I choose to celebrate Him. Jesus, the true and everlasting love!
