UPRISING #4 🔥 We go back to the garage for the fourth release on the ROVR × @AceRecordsLtd UPRISING label, handpicked by the one and only @kebdarge. The No-Na-Mees were your typical “any gigs we can get” local teen band. Recorded in California in 1966, this was their only release under their own name. They did once back a rockabilly singer on his 45, but apart from that, they were simply a local band chasing whatever gigs came their way. Both sides are frantic, Farfisa organ-driven pounders that have become firm dance-floor fillers in today’s clubs. Original promo copies sell for a few hundred pounds, while stock copies are almost impossible to find. Perhaps that explains what happened next. Later that year, the band fell out with their producer and label, disappeared, and were never heard from again. UPP 004 Side A: The No-Ná-Mee's - Gotta Hold On Side AA: The No-Ná-Mee's - Just Wanna Be Myself Landing Soon: available at ROVR Soho and online via the ROVR Shop. by @kebdarge

Another big family get together on the way very soon 🥰 来月10月10日(土)は”ELECTRIC MAD special featuring NUDE RESTAURANT”！ #electricmad #nuderestaurant #northernsoul by @kebdarge

@kebdarge at ROVR TOKYO #1 MUSIC FESTIVAL & RECORD FAIR Many modern classics owe their success to Keb Darge's discoveries. In the early '90s, he birthed the Deep Funk scene, which soon became a worldwide sensation. In the early 2000s, he curated the 'Lost and Found' night, introducing unknown '50s R&B, Rockabilly & Surf to the general public a night that has since been copied worldwide. As a DJ, Keb has been globe-trotting for 30+ years, rocking club stages from Shanghai & Tokyo to Dubai and Rio. He's released 29 compilations of rare 45s and collaborated with RZA, Kenny Dope, DJ Shadow & more. In 2015, his Soho Radio show won the Mixcloud award for best worldwide vintage music show. Now he arrives with a freshly gathered collection of rare sixties garage punk, raucous rockabilly, and wild surf instrumentals. ROVR TOKYO #1: MUSIC FESTIVAL & RECORD FAIR Garden Shinkiba Factory, Tokyo Saturday, October 3, 2026 13:00 – 22:00 Source // Selected footage by @jdmoorephoto from his forthcoming documentary, Who the Fxxx Is Keb Darge ROVR TOKYO #1: MUSIC FESTIVAL & RECORD FAIR Garden Shinkiba Factory, Tokyo 2026年10月3日（土） 13:00 – 22:00 by @kebdarge
