Introducing ሸክላ (Shekla), our new series where DJs curate on vinyl.

First up, the London based duo @eatethio. Helina Tesega and Scott Albon pull from their crates for a warm, nostalgic set that sounds like old records playing in a family home, with a few nods to the season. Something to sit with once the Meskel celebrations wind down.

Full set is live on our YouTube now. Link in bio.

Season 2 of #sefersounds begins with our first instrumental showcase. 🎸🎹

@zenaforeva draws from Ethio-Jazz, carrying melodies that once lived in childhood homes, warm and sacred like the scent of etan (frankincense).
Filmed inside a traditional Harari-styled house, this session pays homage to Harari culture & memory.

Full episode out by Sunday 6PM EAT!
