#27: Guatemala.
A trip we had to train for. On Day 2 we left Antigua to hike Acatenango, a peak of 13,045. But it didn't stop there. Once at base camp, we trekked out for another hike to the Fuego viewing area for sunset on a freezing wind whipped ledge hoping for the clouds to part for the show. She didn't disappoint. What an amazing display... and the sound: sonic booms accompanying plumes of lava framed by lighting in the clouds around it. Three nights in Hanoi marked the end of our two week adventure in Vietnam. Great food, just the most lovely, warm people, rocket fuel coffee, and a solid craft beer culture was the foundation of our trip with Hanoi being an amazing farewell. And just like that, it was over. For Day 11 amd 12 of our Vietnam trek, we took the bus from Ninh Binh to Cat Bah Town, a ferry to Cat Bah Island, and did an amazing overnight cruise of Lan Ha Bay complete with swimming, kayaking, biking, and karaoke adventures, meeting new friends from Canada along the way. taken in Lan Ha Bay, Viet Nam by @keeleysd

Da Nang continued... Stepped up the game by renting a scooter and joining the traffic chaos. Pure exhilaration. Promptly got pulled over by the police after visiting Lady Buddha and got fined 3M VND. Negotiated down to 1M. Worth every dong. taken in Lady Buddha by @keeleysd
