AND IT’S OUT!! Finally. This album release is also an emotional release. The songs on Universal Anxiety are deeply personal, and yet I feel no fear at the thought of sharing them. Just relief. Just excitement. Just… peace, I guess. And pride. Everyone who worked on this al um behind the scenes did such a fantastic job and I just want others to hear their work and recognize the value of the parts they played. So if you want to give Universal Anxiety a listen, go search for it on your streaming service of choice, or click the link in my bio and story. It’s there, waiting to be heard… waiting for you to start the conversation. Let’s listen… and then let’s talk about it.

Tonight, Universal Anxiety will be streamed in its entirety on my YouTube channel, starting at 7 PM EST. You won’t want to miss that! And tomorrow (5/30) is the album release show at @basiccitybeerco_rva . Today is your last day to get presale tickets, which you can also find at the link in my bio!

Happy listening ✨ by @keelybmusic

I can’t wait for my show with @collideoscope_band and @americansabroadrva this Thursday! Only two more days to go! Collideoscope stopped by my parents’ house over the weekend to crash there before heading to Nashville, and it was so much fun to catch up. You can join us to at @basiccitybeerco_rva on 10/8, starting at 7:00! Tickets are available through Eventbrite, but you can also show up and purchase them at the door.

I’ve also just sent out the latest edition of my newsletter! In it, I muse on self-mythology (a topic that deserves its own essay tbh), give the rundown of Thursday’s show, and share some media I’ve been experiencing lately. Sign up at keelyburn.com and never miss another announcement!

From being a pack mule for their first-ever photoshoot* to dancing at their album release show last year, @collideoscope_band and I go way back. As a matter of fact, I met Matt & Steve within the first two days of my freshman year of college! I feel so blessed to have maintained that connection for so long. Here’s some pictures from our various adventures over the years. You can be a part of the next one if you come see us play on October 8th and @basiccitybeerco_rva !

*Technically it was a photoshoot for The Precautions, the band that Matt, Steve, and Joey were in before forming Collideoscope… but that’s close enough! by @keelybmusic

Recent live music, in and around Richmond: Madison Cunningham (with Julia Cumming of Sunflower Bean), David Archuleta + other assorted acts at Pridefest (my other favorites being Chris Housman, A’Keria Chanel Davenport, and What’s Our Age Again?), and Goo Goo Dolls (with Neon Trees)! Two acts were complete middle school nostalgia for me (David Archuleta’s tour in 2009 was the first concert I ever attended, and I remember buying Goo Goo Dolls’ music back when Borders was a thing… I miss that store…). And Madison Cunningham’s Ace Tour might be the best tour I’ve ever seen, by any artist. Holy shit. Absolutely loved Julia Cumming, too, I had never heard of her but her solo album is wonderful and I played it all the way back from Charlottesville last night. by @keelybmusic

I started learning a new cover for our upcoming shows on @theheistbg on 9/25 and @basiccitybeerco_rva on 10/8. Made some mistakes, but it’s getting there. Anyone who attends these shows will get to hear this song. Will you be one of the lucky folks? by @keelybmusic

DATE CORRECTION: Keely & the Tea Lights will be playing at @theheistbg on Friday, September 25th- NOT the 26th!!! The time, 7:00 to 10:00, remains the same. Stop by if you’re in Bowling Green and looking for a nice evening out!

In other news, the latest Note From the Burn Ward, aka Keely’s newsletter, went out today. It talks about FOMO, announces the upcoming shows, and shares a newly-released project with the Virtual Voices Chorale. Please subscribe at keelyburn.com in order not to miss the next one! by @keelybmusic

Shows!! Two of them!! Come see Keely and the Tea Lights this fall!!

On 9/26, we will be playing @theheistbg in Bowling Green, Virginia! I’ve been to this venue before and it’s a great space for listening to live music- and boy, we have a lot to present to y’all. Want a nice evening out filled with good food & drinks (I can personally attest to the deliciousness of their blackberry no-jito) and absorbing live music? Look no further… we’ve got you covered.

AND THEN stop by @basiccitybeerco_rva on 10/8 for our show in support of @collideoscope_band on their first-ever tour!! These folks have been my friends since we went to college together, and they are finally breaking their Long Island containment to join us in Richmond. @americansabroadrva will also be joining us, who I’ve wanted to play with forever! Go grab your tickets at the link in mine & Collideoscope’s bio.

After that… we have no more shows in 2026, but who knows what will appear on the horizon in 2027? Watch this space… it may take a while, but keep watching it… eventually, you’ll be glad you did.
