Special occasions are not parties. Parties are celebrations. Life is the special occasion. Those everyday moments that pass by all too quickly. Like spending time with family, friends and pets. But life isn’t a grand spectacle like a party, it is messy and real. It’s warm and funny. Cosy evenings in, walks under the trees in the park, having a hot chocolate with loved ones. Watching the seasons change. And realising that once again the leaves are falling and Autumn is coming. But before we know it the flowers will blossom once again and it’ll be springtime. I used to spend a lot of my time with my head down, daydreaming, wishing I was someone else and being anywhere else. And I’m not doing that all the time anymore. I don’t want to miss it. One day this will all be a memory and I want to remember it all. So let’s cherish these golden days, even the groan over dishes to be done. Because we have so many blessings. And if you are going through a hard time right now, that’s okay, all things will pass. Hard times are not forever. by @keep_flying_keep_drawing

From Wicked by Fabiana Trere, Number 17, Coloured using pencils. I’m not sure about Wicked anymore, there are a couple of spells and magic in the film, but I still love this colouring book. And I just love how colourful and musical the film is with a central theme of friendship and love. In this scene, Glinda is wearing an orange dress and Fiyero is wearing dark blue or green. But my favourite colours are soft blues and pinks so that’s what I reached for. This page kind of reminds me of Cinderella or Nutcracker Barbie. Love how this artist captures people by @keep_flying_keep_drawing

Colouring from an old favourite. Flowers Compendium, Number 42 by Kanoko Egusa. What is your favourite season? Mine is Autumn. Followed by Winter. I also love early spring when it feels like God has painted the world in vibrant colour to the sound of birdsong. But I dislike late spring to summer where the world just feels wilted and dry. by @keep_flying_keep_drawing
