@grievinggranny_ Has made its way to the Motherland and found a home in not 1 but 2 different schools in Nairobi, Kenya 🥺💜

Although it looks like I do a lot lol there are times when I feel like I am not doing enough but these moments always show me that doing your best and putting in the effort is always way more than enough!!

Do you know some of the benefits of a term life insurance policy? We dived in deep for part 2 of our discussion on life after loss on YouTube with @beyondthebusyness

Here’s some facts:
Term insurance provides coverage for a specific amount of time, such as 10, 20 or 30 years.

It is generally less expensive in the beginning.

It does not usually build cash value.

The death benefit is paid when the insured person dies while the policy is active.

It may be useful when someone needs a larger amount of protection during a particular period, such as while raising children, paying a mortgage or replacing income.

Some term policies can be converted to permanent insurance without new proof of good health, but that depends on the policy’s conversion rules.

Depending on your goals a term policy can work in your favor. Make sure you speak to a licensed life insurance agent to assist 💜

I’ve been practicing self care way before I knew how important it would be in my healing journey.

This pic maybe taken in 2013 🤭

Any chance I had I would take my Mom to a spa. Groupon spa deals hated to see me coming 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Taking my mom to the spa gave us both space to breathe, to just be and I always knew she needed it 🫶🏾

Now, every time I make space to rest, recharge, and care for myself, it feels like I’m continuing something special that we shared.

I hope you all are finding time to rest when needed. You deserve 💐

Week 3 of the Life After Loss cohort will resume next week 7/29 at 7 pm with the amazing Ra’Keeya S. Ramos Spiritual practitioner and Certified birth and death doula.

Reiki is a calming, hands-off energy practice often used to support relaxation, quiet the mind, and help the body settle during emotionally heavy seasons. While it does not replace medical or mental health care, it can create space to breathe, reconnect with yourself, release tension, and feel more present in your healing journey.

Together, we will pause, set an intention, receive guided meditation and Reiki, reflect, and close with our special memory moment.

Man LIFE IS SHORT!

I resigned from my work from home Insurance job I held for 4 years the day before my Mother was taking from me.

I talked to her that day before I sent the email and she said “Keanna, something else will come up that will be right for you, it’s ok to let this go. Look forward and ask God to guide you”

That was in June 2018 and in September 2018 I became a community Hospice RN serving my people in Brooklyn NY.

What I saw as a hospice RN in the streets of NY were a mixture of families holding on to hope, patients with regrets of not doing more and of course the timely and heart felt love stories of couples holding onto love right til the end.

I loved my job, the team I worked for and the community I served but most Importantly I gained a further understanding of the magnitude of what LIFE after DEATH can mean, from my own personal experience to my professional.

Beyond grateful and still taken away on the route my healing journey has taken but it’s all #GODSPLAN
