Found another voiceover casting opportunity and wanted to pass it along... 🎙️🎧 An Australian educational YouTube channel is looking for a voice actor with a natural American English accent for an ongoing series of animated YouTube Shorts. They're looking for a young adult voice that sounds energetic, conversational, and authentic. Think an enthusiastic friend sharing an interesting fact rather than a traditional commercial announcer read. CASTING DETAILS: • PAY: $600 USD advertised project budget • ROLE: Young adult, American English • LOCATION: Remote / Worldwide • SCRIPTS: Approximately 150–220 words per video • RECORDING: Clean, edited WAV or high-quality MP3 • TURNAROUND: Within 24 hours • POTENTIAL: Recurring work, with several videos per week IMPORTANT RATE NOTE: The listing advertises a $600 USD fixed-price budget, but it doesn't specify whether that amount covers one video, multiple videos, or an entire batch. Please confirm the rate PER VIDEO, number of recordings included, revisions, and usage rights before accepting the project. I'd also recommend checking the GVAA Rate Guide to make sure the compensation aligns with the scope of work. ORIGINAL CASTING LINK: https://www.upwork.com/freelance-jobs/apply/Voice-Over-Artist-for-YouTube-Shorts_~022117068150429779703/ You'll need an Upwork account to apply. We have not independently vetted the client or production. The morning Eric Bauza passed away, I was interviewing voice actor Taylor Shaye about how she got her start in the industry and some of the incredible voice actors who inspired her along the way. He was one of the first people who came up in our conversation (before we had any idea of his passing). 💔 I’ve always believed that one of the biggest reflections of someone’s character is how they treat people who have absolutely nothing to offer them in return. Eric Bauza had accomplished so much in his career, but he still took the time to reach back and help younger voice actors who were just finding their footing in the industry. He didn’t have to do that. He chose to. And I think that says so much about the kind of person he was! Beyond his incredible talent and the characters he brought to life, I hope that’s something people will always remember about him. Such a heartbreaking loss for our voice acting community. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and everyone who was lucky enough to know him! 🤍 @taylorshaye @bauzilla #EricBauza #VoiceActing #VoiceActors #AnimationIndustry #RememberingEricBauza by @keepdreamingcreative

"I ain't reading all that..." 😬 TOUGH LOVE on why some of you are not booking voiceover work. I LOVE seeing how excited you are about voice acting opportunities, but please, PLEASE read the full casting breakdown before reaching out or submitting. I genuinely want to help you book more work! Knowing how to follow directions, research a project, and submit properly is such an important part of being a working voice actor. We all make mistakes, but if you are not even following initial submission instructions... casting wonders how well you will follow direction when it comes to the actual job!! #VoiceActing #VoiceOverJobs #VoiceOverCasting #VoiceOverAuditions #VoiceActors by @keepdreamingcreative
What makes a GREAT commercial voiceover demo? And what are talent agents actually listening for? I asked Jessica Sloan this question during our Ask-A-Voice-Agent interview, and I loved her answer! After nearly two decades working in casting and talent representation, Jessica founded First Take to help actors better understand the business side of their careers. One of the biggest things she looks for in a commercial voiceover demo is VERSATILITY! Different tempos, vocal textures, tones, and delivery styles that showcase what an actor can really do. But she also emphasizes something I think is SO important when we're producing commercial demos at Keep Dreaming Creative: AUTHENTICITY. We always want to honor your unique voice and showcase what makes YOU bookable! For aspiring voice actors in Austin, Texas, and beyond who are preparing to record their first commercial demo or update an existing one, this is some great advice straight from a former Voiceover Agent! @first_take_tx #CommercialVoiceover #VoiceoverDemo #VoiceActing #VoiceoverTips #VoiceoverAgent #AustinVoiceActors by @keepdreamingcreative
Hey guys! Found this casting on The Voice Realm's public casting board and thought I'd pass it along! They're looking for a mature female voice actor with a North American English accent to narrate an independent feature-length documentary exploring human rights, dignity, history, and our shared responsibility to one another. Rate note: The advertised $2,255 USD is an estimate. Given the feature-length scope of this documentary, actors should confirm the total narration word count, recording and editing requirements, and usage rights before accepting. We recommend consulting the GVAA Rate Guide when evaluating compensation. The client is looking for a thoughtful, restrained, intimate performance rather than a traditional dramatic documentary read. Important: You'll need to be an approved member of The Voice Realm to audition. You can find the listing on their public casting board: https://www.thevoicerealm.com/voice-over-jobs-and-auditions.php Just sharing in case it's a good fit for someone! Disclaimer: Keep Dreaming Creative is not affiliated with The Voice Realm, the casting team, or this production. We're simply passing along a publicly listed opportunity. We haven't independently vetted the project, so please do your own research and confirm compensation, usage rights, and all project details directly with the original source. The advertised rate is an estimate, not guaranteed compensation. #VoiceoverCasting #VoiceActingJobs #DocumentaryNarration #VoiceoverJobs #FemaleVoiceActor #VoiceActors #KeepDreamingCreative by @keepdreamingcreative
STOP WARMING UP in those first few words of your voiceover auditions (and jobs). I hear so many voice actors do a slowww fade into the read... The first 3–5 seconds of your voiceover audition are crucial! Casting may only listen to a few seconds before moving on to the next actor, so you want to make sure you're completely locked into your read from the very first word. VOICE ACTING TIP: Once you finish reading your script, go straight back to the beginning and read that first line again without stopping. You'll already be in the energy of the scene, connected to your character, and making stronger choices right out of the gate. Give it a try on your next audition and see if you notice a difference! #VoiceActingTips #VoiceOverTips #VoiceActing #VoiceOverAuditions #VoiceActor by @keepdreamingcreative
