This past weekend we teamed up with @keepflbeautiful eautiful for their "Ignite the Night" fundraising event in support of the Flagler Beach Fire Department! 🚒

♻️Recycling bins were placed throughout the event to make sure every beverage can becomes a new can. Thanks to this amazing community-led effort, we successfully collected and recycled 16 lbs of aluminum cans — that’s around 500 cans diverted from the landfill while raising money for first responders to keep local beaches clean and safe.

Things you can do to reduce that percentage:

Happy National Garden Week! 🪴
We are set up at the @fwblibrary talking about what can and cannot be recycled. There’s also ways to up-cycle items for your garden!
🪏 you can use glass bottles as slow watering systems
🍌 you can use banana peels as pest repellent or throw in your compost
🥚 you can use certain egg cartons as a biodegradable seed starter

When recycling make sure to stick to the basics, when in doubt throw it out!

Our local affiliate Keep Charlotte Beautiful is doing beautiful things in their community!

For more than 30 years, Lottie has poured her passion into @keeppascobeautiful — leading projects, growing events, securing grants and inspiring volunteers across our community. From planting 700+ native plants at the Shady Hills Gateway to expanding Earth Day into a major community celebration, her impact is everywhere you look.

A BIG thank you to @scottsmiraclegro and @keepamericabeautiful for supporting our very first Earth Day Celebration! With their support we were able to give away 90 shrubs, flowers, and grasses; as well as plant several trees in a downtown Apalachicola pocket park. All these were planted ahead of the nation's 250th birthday celebration on July 4, 2026! This event was in partnership with the local affiliate Keep Franklin County Beautiful, DEP, and many other amazing organizations that came out to help educate the public on waterways, native plants, recycling, and more!
