@tempestindiana is officially opening this Saturday July 25th!!

I got a sneak peek inside Tempest, and it absolutely lives up to the hype. From house-roasted coffee beans and scratch-made syrups to authentic Liège waffles (served until 2 p.m.), every detail feels intentional.

I ordered the banana miso latte and the hibiscus matcha, and I honestly can’t stop thinking about either one. 🤍

And here’s the coolest part: starting at 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, Tempest transforms from a coffee bar into a cocktail lounge.

Hours:
Monday–Tuesday: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday–Thursday: 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Friday–Saturday: 6:00 a.m. – Midnight
Sunday: Closed

They say it’s a State Fair experience at county fair prices… and honestly, I’d have to agree.

We look forward to the Hendricks County Fair every summer.

Good food (sooo many different options), fun rides, animals, shows—it’s one of those events that’s become a summer family tradition for us.

If you haven’t gone yet, you’ve still got through July 25. Admission is only $5, kids 9 and under are free, and you can come and go throughout the day as long as you get your hand stamped.

I bet you’ve never heard of some of these ice cream flavors… 👀🍦

In honor of National Ice Cream Day, I stopped by @DannysMexicanIceCream to try some of the most unique flavors you’ll find in Hendricks County.

From Hot Honey Goat Cheese to flavors you probably didn’t even know existed, everything is made in-house, and the owner, Danny, is always dreaming up new flavors to try.

I ended up getting Pina Colada in a waffle cone, and it was refreshing and delish for summer!
