Welcome to our fictional West Country super quarry, where the machinery is enormous, the personalities are even bigger, and the new manager has plenty of ideas. Unfortunately, so does Brian. 😂

We’re creating an original British animated workplace comedy inspired by real life in quarrying, using AI-assisted animation and learning as we go.

Expect character introductions, questionable management decisions, ridiculous workplace notices and plenty of chaos.

🚜 MEET THE TEAM — BRIAN SMITH ☕

Every quarry has a Brian. Unfortunately, Ashcombe Quarry only has one.

29 years old, dumper driver, coffee enthusiast and a man whose approach to problem-solving occasionally raises concerns. 😂

Brian’s one of the most lovable members of the crew. Always up for a laugh, always ready to help, and rarely seen without a coffee.

His preferred stirring utensil? A knife.

Don’t ask. Nobody else does anymore.

He might not always have the best ideas, but life at Ashcombe Quarry would be a lot quieter without him.

And considerably less entertaining.

🚜 MEET THE TEAM – MARTY PROWSE 🦺

Every quarry has that one bloke who keeps everything running. At ours, that’s Marty.

46 years old, years of experience under his belt, and somehow still putting up with the rest of this lot.

He’s the unofficial leader of the crew, knows the quarry like the back of his hand, and takes health and safety seriously.

He might come across as a bit grumpy, but underneath it all, he’s actually got a soft side. He just does a bloody good job of hiding it. 😂

And with a new graduate manager arriving on site, Marty’s patience might be about to face its biggest test yet…

SIMON PRICE | QUARRY MANAGER

Fresh out of university and armed with a business degree, Simon has arrived at the quarry with big ambitions, fresh ideas and a worrying enthusiasm for spreadsheets.

He genuinely wants to do a good job. Unfortunately, the workforce has been doing theirs for considerably longer. 😂

Favourite phrase: “I’ve had an idea…”

Biggest challenge: Convincing Marty that another meeting is necessary.
