One week ago Club Rat debuted and what a fucking sick ass debut it was!!!

I’ve been thinking/working on this for a while and for it to go as well as it did is invigorating. I was expecting to play to a room of my friends but imagine my surprise when I look up and the room full of club rats all going feral. Truly, thank you to everyone for coming and going hard with me ♡

Warmest thank you to Noah (@woahnillers) aka DJ TRÆN33. There’s nobody else I would have wanted to do this with and you blew it out of the water!! Go off and terrorize NYC with your sounds because you’re a natural at this. Wild how the crazy woman I met at a Channel Tres concert would become someone I respect and hold dearly, you mean so much to me.
Something big is in the future for the both of us, I feel it

Maria Daniela (@ese.demonio) you have been my rock for years. You kept pushing me to keep up with djing even though I didn’t listen and was on and off with it for four years. Without you and your unending support, I would not be where I am today. I feel like I don’t say it enough but I love you, you’re family to me

Resurfacing after a year of surviving. It’s hard to keep creative when it’s taken out back and shot in the name of being able to pay rent. But, that’s just life, a tale as old as time. Anyways, I hope this marks a shift in productivity with me on the creative front. Brimming with ideas that I don’t have enough time in the day to nourish them all. Time will tell which of these ideas gets the most care and comes to fruition.

Anyways this mix is a product of my ever changing tastes in music. Less indebted to the chaotic frenzy of hardcore (will still listen to 200bpm gabber to sleep tho) and more interested in the structured groove of techno and euphoria of trance. That’s the fun of DJing for me, it becomes a time capsule of how I’m feeling now.

New Mix: End Of Summer
Sad but true. Lots of big changes happened that ended up being the best summer in recent memory. I wanted to commemorate the past six months of living in New York with a mix dedicated to Summer. It’s nostalgic, bright, and soulful. This is also the slowest I’ve ever played so for the old heads and house heads out there, enjoy it while it lasts. New mix: Disk 003

I recorded this mix a few days after my birthday at 2am and it sat in my computer waiting for the time to be opened. That was months ago and listening back now, I feel as though I was subconsciously wrapping my head around my eventual move; a time capsule of how I was feeling then. This mix, at the risk of sounding hokey, is like the ebb and flow of life; the beauty of birth, pain of living, ecstasy of letting go, and the somberness of a looming death

It sounds good to me and that’s all I care about

About me:
Three weeks into making the move to the big city and everything feels right. I haven’t felt this way in a long time; so excited and bright eyed. Obviously, that feeling won’t last and I will be humbled but that doesn’t matter. Nothing in life is permanent; friendships fade just as fast as they grow, confidence rises and falls like a highly compressed kick, and good times are like a welcomed guest who leave when the sun sets leaving you with your weird roommate.

I’m happy and I cannot remember the last time I could confidently say that

Club Rat Video Dump

Life is coming at me fast so I forgot to post these. But about a month ago the last Club Rat (in Seattle) came and went. I had the most fun at this one knowing it would be my last. Having my bestie (@ese.demonio) playing with me was extremely sentimental considering the room we played in Kremwerk was where we experienced clubbing for the first time four years ago. It felt like tying a pretty bow on my time djing in Seattle. The most memorable part of it all was going from 220 to a 110 acid house track and playing house music for the rest of the night (clock the vid of Dani playing a banger)

Anyways, thanks to all that came and especially to those that dressed up (I saw a couple of you in rat attire) ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡
