Many thanks to @beckelbecker for deciding to tell this story in a beautifully shot and edited short piece on finding my way to drag. And thanks to @whyioughtta and @washingtonimprovtheater for connecting us, as well as @billnelson728 and the cast of @theqvc for allowing him to film. And Dennis for agreeing to filming at home!A lot of footage was cut to the essentials as were many shoutouts and thanks. A lot of love and kindness from friends, family, and strangers alike has made the authentic path of my life possible. I still have a lot to learn, but I’m grateful to know to my core that what we do is good and joyful, and I’m so thankful for all the talented queer people and allies I do it alongside. For me, drag is a playful celebration of queer & feminine humor, power, and self-possession. It’s using everything I’ve got. & I’m better able to connect with others when I let all of me come out.
