The Glimmer Twins. A duo that everybody in rock has heard before. One of the greatest song writing duos of all time, and two of the most fucking drug filled people you would probably ever meet in your life. Keith Richards and Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones.

I donโ€™t remember a time in my life where I didnโ€™t know that fucker. We grew up in Dartford, on the edge of greater London. I grew up with him. We only lived a street away, our mothers were friends, we went to the same primary school together when we were seven to eleven years old, Wes have โ€œplay datesโ€. Fuck. Play dates? I havenโ€™t said that term in a fat fuckinโ€™ minute. Anyways, we werenโ€™t the closest of friends, but we were friends.

But my parents decided to move to a new neighbor hood, which meant a new school. Mick and I lost touch after that. But even though we were apart, we both sparked the same interest. Rock n fuckinโ€™ roll. I mean, doesnโ€™t love that shit? Youโ€™d have to be utterly mad. Mick was in a band while I would play with various groups here and there. I never knew that Mick was in a band since we ran in different crowds.

Iโ€™ve gotta say, I was pretty fuckinโ€™ badass in my teenage years. Who am I kidding, I still am. But i was rockinโ€™ out at the age of fifteen and sixteen. I would play guitar up on stage with the band I was playing with, get down on my knees and roll around on the ground like a lunatic. But thatโ€™s rock n roll. It was fucking awesome. by @kei.thrichards

The Playboy Mansion. The place that every man would die just to step foot in it. The home of all the Playboy Bunnies. Itโ€™s a fucking dream. A sick dream. But a dream.

We [The Stones] got an invitation to stay at the Chicago Playboy Mansion around the year of โ€˜72 from Hugh Hefner himself. And us, being the people we were, most definitely agreed. I mean, who would actually pass up the opportunity to go to the mansion.

Bobby Keys, our saxophonist, and I would sneak drugs out of our doctorโ€™s bags and just get fucked up. And thatโ€™s what we did this time.

We sat on the ground in a circle like we were sitting around a little campfire. A little campfire of drugs and good times. In the bathroom. Yes, you read that correctly. We were gettinโ€™ fucked up in the Playboy Mansion bathroom. Good fucking times. We were having such a good time that we didnโ€™t even realize we had set fire to the bathroom. Well, the dope did. We didnโ€™t. It wasnโ€™t really our fault. [...] by @kei.thrichards

I was born Keith Richards on December 18, 1943 to Doris Maud Lydia and Herbert William Richards. Iโ€™m an only child to the two, which is cool in a way. Extra Christmas presents and all the shit like that, ya know. My father was a factory worker and was wounded during his deployment in World War ll during the Normandy Invasion. My paternal grandparents, Ernie and Eliza Richards, were socialists and civic leaders. Eliza went on to become the mayor is the Municipal Borough of Walthamstow in Essex in 1941.

I guess you could say legends run in the family.

I attended Wentworth Primary School, where I met a very significant person. But weโ€™re here for me so letโ€™s move the fuck on. My mother introduced me into the fabulous world of music and encouraged my singing in the choir at Westminster.

Once middle school hit, I became one of the three sopranos chosen to perform at Westminster Abbey. But when I returned, I was infuriated. These mother fuckers wanted to hold me back a grade because I skipped my classes to practice. They made me repeat another year in this burning hell hole. It was a fucking betrayal. Never in my life had I ever felt so betrayed and so fucking pissed of. This was the end of the line. My attitude sky rocketed, my grades sunk to shit, I was fucking miserable.

Sooner or later, the school finally expelled me. But the headmaster did advise me to go to an art school in Sidcup. [...] by @kei.thrichards

Beginning of my music journey, The Birds.
My career in music began in 1964 when I joined a band called The Birds, not to be confused with the American band The Byrds, in 1964, when I was just seventeen years old. In this band I was the guitarist and on vocals. I was very proud to be apart of this band, music is my veins, and what better way to express my love of music than to spread it with others. And so I did.
The Birds were an English rhythm and blues band, formed in 1964 in Yiewsley, west London.. Most of the members grew up in the same neighborhood in Yiewsley, West London.
We were considered a popular live act with a considerable fan base. We recorded several singles in mid 1960s, I wrote or co-wrote nearly half the songs that we recorded. We started off with a hard R&B sound, but then later started to infuse it with a Motown-style vocal harmonies.
Our original name was The Thunderbirds which we ended up shortening the name to The Birds when we were hired to play as the same bill as Chris Farloweโ€™s back up band who was called The Thunderbirds. Starting out at playing at local clubs and a neighbor hoot community center, as more and more people started hearing our music, we started performing in a larger club circuit.
Our hard R&B sound was good enough to get us into a battle-of-the-bands contest held under the show Ready Steady Go! When we made our first television appearance, catching the eye of Decca, record company executives. Here, The Birds produced our first two singles, โ€œYou Donโ€™t Love Meโ€ and โ€œLeaving Hereโ€. Even going as far as receiving equal billing with The Who at some concerts. [...] by @kei.thrichards

Born Ronald David Wood on June 1st, 1947 in Hillingdon, Middlesex, England to Arthur Wood and Elizabeth Wood. He was born into a musical and artistic family. He started out as an artist, first displaying a talent for painting when he was 3 years old and eventually attending the Ealing School of Art in London as an undergrad. Wood's love of art was not unrivaled, though: He also had an affinity for creating music. His father was an amateur musician and ten-year-old Ronnie played his first gig as a member of his fatherโ€™s Original London Skiffle Group at the Regal cinema. Descending from a long line of travelling barge people, He grew up in a lively musical and artistic West London household. His father played in a harmonica orchestra, while older brothers Ted and Art were both accomplished musicians and graphic designers. With Ron showing creative flair at a young age, his brothers chipped in to buy him an acoustic guitar and at the age of 14, he purchased his first electric model, a few years later at the age of 17, beginning his musical journey.

Ronnie embarked on his musical career when he joined local outfit The Birds, dropping out of Ealing Art College to focus on the band. After The Birds disbanded in 1967, he joined as a bassist in Jeff Beck Group. Two albums of the band, โ€˜Truthโ€™ and Beck-Ola were released that met with limited success. In between he also performed for a short while with the mod group called Creation. He did cameo roles in films such as โ€˜The Deadly Beesโ€™ (1967) and The Wild Life. (1984) and in TV programs like The Rutles: All You Need Is Cashโ€™ (1978). Following the split of Jeff Beck Group in 1969, he along with vocalist Rod Stewart left the band and joined a new band called Faces that included former members of Small Faces namely Kenney Jones, Ian McLagan and Ronnie Lane. {continued in comments} by @kei.thrichards

Guitar something that Iโ€™ve loved for a long time. Iโ€™ve sat down for hours and have just played and played until I felt like my fingers were just about to fall off. Countless times Iโ€™ve stayed up far into the night, playing so loudly that the neighbors complaining the police have to be called. But I continue to do it anyways.
Iโ€™ve played on street corners, and pubs, restaurants, in front of friends and family, etc. etc. And I donโ€™t charge anybody for it. No no, just being able to play to have people listen is enough pay for me. Spreading the joy of music is what I like to do best.
Cheering people up and theyโ€™re sad, calming them down when theyโ€™re upset, or just merely making them even more happy. I will leave that music is one of the only things in the world that has a that type of affect on people.
Music is my passion. Everybody has something they were meant to do in this world, no matter how long it takes everybody does. And for me, that thing is music.

Music is my escape from reality. A place that I can go without being judged or criticized. If I want something to be a certain way then it does that exactly. No backtalk. No pushback. No rewrites. Exactly how I want to be.

Music is the one thing that truly understands me. Iโ€™ve met tons of people in my life and they told me how music has affected them in their own way. Music has a way of healing someone that no medicine ever could.
When the Rolling Stones invited me to join their band, are you mediately took the offer. I always knew that one day I would end up in that band, sometimes I think that it was my destiny to be. Performing on stage give me a rush of adrenaline and the phenomenal, joyful, feeling that Iโ€™ve never felt before.
