Thinking about the stories my mom would tell me about my grandparents this morning: listening to Bob Dylan, partying with friends, falling in love while sneaking out to dance in Georgia, and making a home (where my mom would be born) in Fukuoka, Japan. 💻💡🌐 ADMIN REVEAL 💠💡💻 I’m officially no longer a faceless account lol — my name is Keiko, and I’m a jack of all trades, and oftentimes, a one woman show; film photographer, vintage collector, and spiritualist. I started this account as way to document the bouquets + arrangements I make for my home, and ancestor altar; but it’s sort of snowballed into something much more intentional than that. It’s grown beyond just playing with flowers because it’s become a commitment to myself. I show up every Sunday to this practice ready to bare all, imperfectly or otherwise; and each Sunday I get a little bit better than the the one before. She graces this cover in a dreamy sheer accordion pleat dress with gold embellishment — with a feature highlighting her contributions to the entertainment industry, further solidifying herself as a pillar of Vintage Black Glamour. It’s always a pleasure to retain pieces of physical media like this. Keeping our history alive, and accounted for, for as long as possible can restore our memory, and strengthen our knowledge.
