POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Still trying to find the words for this weekend. I keep saying “I can’t believe it.”

When I first started this art journey, I had no idea where it would take me only that I had to stay consistent no matter how I was feeling or what was in my way. Seeing my mural on those walls is something I’ll never be able to fully put into words.

I tear up thinking about how many people my work will impact long after I’m gone 🥹

I’m so grateful for every person who reached out, sent kind messages, or spoke life into me this weekend. I’ll never take for granted the love and community here in Lancaster.

I can’t wait to go back, take it all in, and experience the museum fully.

Thank you 🥹😭🙏🏽❤️

Yesterday was the anniversary of the day I was diagnosed with Gastroparisis back in 2012. I don’t talk too much about my personal health but those who are close to me know. This condition is the delay of emptying the stomach; it’s incurable but there are ways to manage, I’ve been taking small steps implementing different foods into my diet, cutting things out and just learning what works for me. Everyone who has this condition doesn’t have the same symptoms so it isn’t the easiest to pinpoint. There were times I would be sick for weeks straight, in and out of the ER and even interfered with some of the murals and art I’ve done over the years. I miss the days when I didn’t have to worry about something as simple as eating or traveling that so many take for granted. I am more than the issues I deal with on a daily, and stronger than I ever thought I was. Making this was definitely a release I didn’t know I needed. 🙏🏽❤️

I’m speechless with the turn out today, I’ll probably cry when I’m by myself later...These times are history, constantly seeing my people being killed for nothing by senseless acts of police is so traumatic.

It’s desensitized us, but this time it was the last straw it changed the world. Some days I’m okay and others I’m not but through it all knowing I did whatever I could in the best way I know how is all that matters.

Thank you to everyone who was out there helping me today, shared your kind words and support it means everything to me. 🖤✊🏽🎨

When late night doom scrolling comes through ✨

I was scrolling one night and saw @culturecon was giving away artists grants to attend for the weekend, I applied thinking nothing of it but “this would be so dope just being around so many black creatives” and I got an email saying I was one of many artists chosen 🙏🏽

It’s SO much to take in but of course I did my research lol and made the most of my time. Grateful for the intimate breakout brain dates sessions, all the people I met sitting at the arts and crafts table mainly because I was tired and for just doing shit alone if that means I won’t miss out on an experience.
