Man JOK comes and goes so fast, hard to believe it’s been about 13 years since I started attending! Despite being the world’s largest Rc jet event it’s become a vacation and time to hang with good friends. Lewis is a good friend and glad he puts in the work so me and the Mobile gang can have such a great time! Next up is my second favorite event in my home state of Georgia, cooler temps about half the pilots but just as fun!
If you ever get the chance I highly recommend the events, Jets Over Kentucky is as good as it gets! by @keith_d79

Just a reminder for anyone going to Jets Over Kentucky, I will have the SM F-14 for sale. As well a low time (zero maintenance timer) so a fresh 25 hours JM 166TS for sale. It was the spare for the F-14. Which seems can now be serviced again here in the US. They are such nice motors I tempted to keep them but trying to find other things. 😬 See everyone there, always a fun time and great event for those who are considering attending. In prep for Jets Over Kentucky, I needed to get to fixing Kevin and Karl’s ride. Last year I found spar cracks on two of the three spars on both sides. So before I get a new mid section let’s try a to fix it first. 🙄🙄 yes that’s a double eye roll!
Mid/main spar is 1/4 in aircraft play, rear is 1/8 with another 1/8 over the the crack area. I cannot get to but one side of each spar so I cannot sandwich the spar with would be best. So we’ll see how it holds. I did cut two holes in the mid 1/4 plate reduce some weight, about .6 of a pound minus glue. by @keith_d79

I knew I shouldn’t have looked in side!!! Three main spars about 1/8 in thick and no wood to be found. Mid and rear spars are cracked from top to bottom in the same spot. I got SMed again!!!! Arrggg by @keith_d79
