Someone was reacting to a line from Never Eat Alone, and it stopped me. "Luck comes when you're looking for opportunity."

Twenty years after I wrote that book, that's still the whole idea. The doors of opportunity open through other people. That isn't luck. That's you making it happen.

So here's the work. Identify the most important people who can open doors for you. Reach out to them. Be in their company. Build communities around them. And serve them.

Do that consistently and opportunity stops looking like luck.

Your team nodded through your last presentation. Every one of them had something they didn't say.

The fix takes four minutes. After the next report out, before anyone speaks, everyone writes down two things. What is this person missing, and what bold idea are they not using. Then you go round the room and read them out.

You just made candor a step in the meeting instead of an act of courage.

@peterdiamandis teamed up with @googlegemini to launch the Build with Gemini XPRIZE to give a chance to anyone who wants to build something that helps 100,000 people. They had 90 days to do it.

Every team started with a blank sheet of paper.

It was amazing to see what they were doing with AI.

If they can do that in 90 days, imagine what you could start in your next 90.

Peter has the cleanest definition of purpose I have heard.

Passion is something you love doing. Purpose is something you love doing that helps other people. That second half is the whole thing, and it's the part people skip when they go hunting for meaning.

Run his questions on yourself this week. What did you want to do as a kid, before someone told you it was impossible? What would you give up an entire Saturday for?

You act your way into purpose. Sitting still and journaling about it has never worked for anyone. by @keithferrazzi
