You are watching an episode get its title in real time.

Keith Benn (@keithingtonb) says he’s a fan of anything creative, anything art related, anything whimsical. Just being happy. Just being in the moment.

Ode (@thatsod.e) picks it straight up: we love Black boy whimsy over here. Black boy joy. Black boy frolicking. And she means it as a public good, not a joke. Necessary to our growth as a society.

Then Mo (@licorishislegit) makes it a health argument. Frolicking is not a word anybody attaches to masculinity. And if more dudes frolicked, there would be fewer men dropping dead of heart disease.

“Frolic more, men.”

“Maybe that’ll be the title of the episode.”

Reader, it is the title of the episode.

Keith hosts Built Different (@builtdifferentkb) on the Watts Productions Network. Fellow Howard alum. Bison in the building.

Episode 202 premieres in 30 minutes, 7:30 PM ET, on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. Link in bio. by @keithingtonb

Episode 202 is called “Frolic More, Men.” We’ll explain.

The last time you heard Keith Benn (@keithingtonb) on our show, you only heard him. He was on Episode 50. No cameras, no video, just a voice in the background throwing questions at us during the live. If you caught our Episode 200 cold open, we shouted him out as part of that behind-the-scenes crew.

It’s 202. He’s back, and this time you get a face.

Keith hosts Built Different (@builtdifferentkb) on the Watts Productions Network, he’s a fellow Howard alum, and Bison are in the building. We get into the journey since he last sat down with us, what’s happening with Built Different, the actual grind of independent podcasting, and the real talk behind mindset and community.

Somewhere in there we land on the argument that Black men need to frolic more, and that it might save some lives. We stand on that.

Plus Pop Topics: Ryan Coogler taking over The X-Files, Druski taking his antics to Saturday Night Live, the official sentencing in the Tupac case, and more.

Premieres TONIGHT at 7:30 PM ET on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. Link in bio. taken in Brooklyn, New York by @keithingtonb

In honor of Men's Mental Health Month, let's get back into it! We're talking about the male loneliness epidemic.

When it comes to friendship, do the ladies do it better?
How can we check in properly, fellas?
Should every vacay have a spreadsheet?? 🤔
Can a good cry make beer taste better..? (Honestly, a good cry makes everything better with the right people.)

Anyway, just asking for a friend.. and myself too.
Tune in & tell me your thoughts.

April was an enduring month of intense reflection, creative isolation, and getting in touch with my hardheaded inner child. So I started a Substack to sort through the mess.

Hence, this is deeply personal. Opening up and hoping I can share some truly useful perspective and wisdom. Reach one, teach one. I believe the children are our future.

Episode 4 just dropped! "Who's Bringing the Paper Plates!" Spring is here 🐣 & cookout season is approaching but who's showing up with the white meat... 🥴*rephrasing pause*🥴

Should we be inviting ANYONE to the cookout? Should we gatekeep more? Am I listening to too much blue-eyed soul?

Grab a plate, give it a listen, & let me know how you really feel!

Am I a certified love doctor? According to ITT Tech, yes. Should you listen to me? With a few grains of salt & Casamigos, absolutely!

Thank you so much to my @howard1867 fam/@thedottieclub founder @arviafew (the actual expert) for bringing me along to discuss dating, love, bingo, & more. Live TV debuts & all, we couldn't thank @marysolcastrotv & @nylivingtv enough for the opportunity.

Tell me what's been on your mind as of late.

Me, I'm realizing my quality of life would be tremendously better if I had an iPhone... But alas, the green bubble masochist enters the chat.

(Also, I haven't been this deep in water since I was baptized)
