And just like that 🫰 my baby is 3️⃣‼️ One of my goals this year was to “do less” and enjoy being present more and this birthday was exactly that. An awesome low key park party with new classmates, new soccer friends and so fun seeing old friends from daycare!! Not many pictures and that’s just fine! One of my favorite things about downtown is watching historic spaces get a second life. 🤍

@frenchrivierabakery is now open in the former André’s building on 6th Street, and I couldn’t be happier to see this iconic space buzzing again.

Beautiful pastries, great coffee… and yes, I somehow ordered a matcha at a French bakery. 😅

You’ll find it just down the street from @thewritersblocklv and @beverlytheater

The event that lit the 🔥 for us to finally make it back to Japan ‼️ (back in January 😜) When we moved back from Tokyo in 2016 we promised to make it back to Japan at least once every 2 years. We went back in 2018 and planned to go the Olympics in 2020 (still so sad about that 😢) and then Japan didn’t fully open back up to tourists until October of 2022 and we found out we were pregnant with Felix in January of 2023 so we put big travel on hold for awhile. I had been mentioning that I really wanted to make a plan to go for a few months when I saw my favorite artist @meduzamusic post that they’d be playing a show in Tokyo. Just curious to see where they’d be playing, I looked it up and saw it was a small festival with @tiesto @swedishhousemafia & @domdolla all on the same day…what a lineup!!! When my mom said she could watch Felix for us and flights were a steal we basically couldn’t say no! We really look forward to taking Felix to Japan with us and know that we’ll love enjoying the country in a whole new way but this time we just really needed it for ourselves and to literally run around and fill every second. To have so many of our really close friends all in the same place together having a blast was just incredible. Felt like old times but even better!!! Ended the night taking a taxi and passing Tokyo Tower then having super yummy yakiniku 😋 Also if you were wondering that contraption with my drink sitting on it is to hold a kid in a bathroom stall. So genius!! There’s a lot of little things like this that I’m really excited to enjoy when we travel as a family there. More INCREDIBLE Tokyo friends that have become family. Pepe and @gorozaemon became close friends when we lived in Tokyo and he and @a25_1006 were so nice to let us stay with them (back in January 😜) just a few blocks away from where our apartment was when we lived there. It was so great staying in our old neighborhood and walking all the streets we used to love. This half of the day we went to Ginza together and had an amazing lunch set at a restaurant in @ginzasix_official a luxury department store. The restaurants in the department stores are something I always recommend, it’s so different from the US. Sunday is “shopping day” and they close the streets to cars so people can easily walk and shop all around Ginza. Had to snap a pic in front of the Abercrombie which is why we lived in Japan (if you didn’t already know). I opened the first Hollister store in Japan and thankfully the Abercrombie had already been open for 4 years at that point - it made my recruiting much easier to always say “Hollister is from the same parent company as Abercrombie” Still to this day my best Japanese is my recruiting script! It was so wild we would go to Shibuya crossing and get usually 10 phone numbers per hour for people interested in coming to an interview. It was so much fun and I loved that part of the job 😊 taken in GINZA SIX by @kel_ortizthomp

These friends!!!! Our second day in Japan (back in January 😜) we walked by our old apartment on our way to spend the day visiting @aiscapade @dabidpanganiban and their daughter at their house, then they took us to a huge second hand store where I found a cool tea set and several vintage kimono jackets (for less than $5 each!!) and then we walked around Yokohama together. I can’t even explain in words how important Ai was for me when we lived in Japan. She was one of the managers that worked directly below me at my store and she got me through some really difficult times (like REALY difficult, so many tears, several crazy stories I could tell 😵‍💫) not only was she an amazing support at work but we also became great friends and our husbands did as well. We even traveled to Tomorrowland together in 2017!! We definitely filled our hearts and souls this day 💖 by @kel_ortizthomp
