Absolutely in love with this IKEA hack. I created my dream stained glass pattern and had it printed on a walk decal with a transparent background. I had it printed with my favorites at @pixartprinting and installed it within 4 minutes 🤗🤗 . My summer day stroller basket as a first time Mom ☀️Living in a city with no car, this stroller is genuinely our everything. Swipe for the honest list of all my work flops and wins over the first half of the year. And I can’t post this without saying -> none of this was possible without help 💕I have an amazing husband who works from home and supports all of my passions. I had my parents here in January and February, and every day they were around to help and play with Quincy during wake windows. I have an amazing mother-in-law who lives close by and comes over or takes Quincy to her house whenever we need. And we recently started with a brilliant nanny who comes once a week for a few morning hours. Day trip to Margate with a 9 month old →* Currently obsessed with @margoinmargate and have an eye on one of the pieces for our living room* Keeping this one protected from the sun is a full time job* I think about cinnamon buns everyday and @rise.and.bun did not disappoint* Keeping sand out of this one’s mouth is a full time job* Dreaming of the day when I can have my own little colorful brick and mortar space at the beach* @thegoodegg_margate was DELICIOUS. Green shakshuka, date pita with a fudgy egg and cornbread. Can’t wait to go back* Trying everything to get this one to nap* 🍦🙎🏻‍♂️* 🙎🏻‍♂️🍦* Love this gallery and art space already! They open on Thursday so go give them a visit! @a.strokeof.luck * And we left an hour earlier than planned because Mom & Dad were running out of ideas to keep this one calm Day trips always seem like a great idea in my head, and then actually executing them is a new challenge every time. We planned for a train ride during nap time, a family lunch out, a stroller nap while we popped in and out of shops — but Quincy had other ideas haha. A 20 minute nap on an 1.5 train ride, then stopping at three different restaurants to find out they didn’t have highchairs, and then about 30 mins trying to get this girl to nap which then resulted in a 30 minute nap. The items getting me through first-time motherhood as a breastfeeding city mom ✨ Honestly couldn’t have done these past eight months without them 💕- H&M nursing tanks: I wear these (almost) every day. Perfect for the nursing IBTC 🤗 I thought I wouldn’t want the clip-down style but honestly it’s superior to every other BF style IMO- On Cloud sneakers (Cloudsurfer and Cloudtilt): The Cloudsurfers were my ride or die, but now I love the Cloudtilt because I can slip on and GO- Columbia waterproof mules: Lifesavers through the wettest winter London has ever had, paired with a newborn who would only sleep in the stroller- Skorts: With all the bending, crawling and lugging the stroller down stairs I do in a day 😵‍💫 the skort lets me feel put-together without any extra fabric getting in the way or tripping me up- Cardigans: As someone who doesn’t like a collared shirt and has made herself a promise to always wear colour, the cardi is my new staple. NEXT have been my go-toAll of this honestly makes me want to start my own fashion line (if I had the time and the money I’d do it 😂). So many breastfeeding clothes are black, boring and aging, and why are they always striped?!Now that I’m 8 months in, I’ve realised that different stages of the first year need different clothes. Right now I need things I can crawl in that are stain and sticky-rice-cracker-hand resistant. But earlier on I needed tops with instant BF access, because sometimes 10 seconds was too long.So in my next life I’ll make a line of colourful clothes for the different stages of motherhood.
