Damn, cuz.

I never thought I’d have to figure out the words for something like this. I’m almost mad I have to write anything at all. Im supposed to be seeing you this Christmas, now I’m heartbroken at the thought that you’re gone. The finality of it all still hasn’t hit me.

Everyone will have a story about how much fun you were, or how you lived life to its absolute fullest. And you did, brother you did. That’s the one constant about you from every person that you came across.

I think our relationship was just different. We fought to no end, but if there was one person I could count on to be 100% real with me, to pick up the phone and make sure I was good, shoot shop shit or whatever, it was you. And vice versa. The people you loved, you would do anything for.

You were so very intentional, that was your superpower. It’s not so much the grand gestures, but stories like, “Fletch got my kids shoes for school” or “my wife was pregnant and fletch made sure she didn’t have to wait too long at Shakeback to win her pair”. Those things go a long way with people, that’s what made you who you were.

I don’t know what this is supposed to feel like, but I do know this life won’t be the same without you here.

#avowtoromainfresh @freshjohnson had our asses somewhere in Utah to watch her walk down the aisle as only she would. Man I’m so happy for you, I wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else this past weekend. It felt more like a reunion than it did a wedding, which made it even more special. Birthday was last week! 🎉

Turned a Chili’s run into something special—who knew Chili’s could feel like the club? A lil’ nostalgia never hurt anybody.

Then I had the honor of heading to Detroit, where @kristindaniel surprised me, and I got to attend the Black Footwear Forum—an unforgettable experience. Being in a room full of visionaries, creatives, and leaders shaping sneaker culture for the future was the best gift I could’ve asked for.

And just like that, my time here at Sneaker Politics has come to an end.

Thank you Dallas for an amazing 4 years. It’s amazing what we’ve been able to accomplish and I owe it all this city and the love you’ve shown. I truly can’t thank you enough.

To my crew, @ryansharrod @micool2 @wcbodin @wearmykix, thank you for everything. Thank you for giving me your all in making Dallas the destination spot that it is. I can’t express my appreciation enough. I love y’all.

@derekcurry thank you for allowing me to help this company grow to new heights and trusting me to deliver on what I said I would when I moved here. I’m forever grateful for the opportunity.
