Are you living or are you existing?
My life recently got to the point of going through the motions, I let myself get stagnant that I decided to give myself a new life experience!

I’ve spent 8 years after college climbing the corporate ladder, chasing money, living a fast paced lifestyle. I’ve always needed to hustle to be #1 and to be the skinniest or prettiest and I put myself through diets and rigorous exercise to always BE THE BEST. All for outside factors. The “Orange county” lifestyle to live up to egotistical and materialistic things of what a woman should look like and be like.

It was time for me to start LIVING. Living for myself, for deep connections, nourishment, and for undeniable self love.

I never expected this experience to be what it is. The people I’ve met and my journey to unconditional self love has been by far the most expansive thing I’ve done for myself. Learning to love the present moment and settling into my body. Let the monkey mind and stress melt away, to relax, be still.

And through that I’m finding laughter again, feeling comfortable in my own body, and unlearning programmed behaviors.

What I’ve learned is that life isn’t about a career, money, or having materialistic things. Somehow we learned along the line that we can’t be our true selves in fear of judgement. When in reality our truest form brings abundance.

What truly matters is self love, connection, and joy. ❤️

1 year in St Pete. I feel like the luckiest person in the world to be able to experience this place. The people, the ocean, the dolphins, the weather. It’s just so amazing and magical!!

I love the Ionian islands 🧿🧿🧿. It has an Italian vibe and we actually ate more pasta than we did Greek food and I’m dreaming about it still. Who is coming to next years Greece trip? 🇬🇷 taken in Corfu, Old Town by @kellieturner_

I swear I could spend all day swimming through the caves in Zakynthos. The water here is actually insane — bright blue, turquoise and green because of all the limestone surrounding the island.

And something I didn’t know until coming here… there are natural sulfur springs in parts of Zakynthos that literally flow out of the rocks and into the sea. So in certain spots you’re basically swimming in mineral-rich spring water 🥹

I feel like I knew nothing about Zakynthos before coming here besides how beautiful it was 🇬🇷

But this island has SO much history. For centuries it was ruled by different empires, and during Venetian rule it became known as “Il Fiore di Levante” — The Flower of the East 🌿

One of the coolest things to me are all the caves carved into these massive limestone cliffs. Between pirates, invasions and wars, caves and remote parts of the island were sometimes used as places of refuge and protection, which makes looking at them now feel completely different.

Then in 1953, a massive earthquake basically destroyed most of Zakynthos and the island had to rebuild itself.

It’s crazy being somewhere this beautiful and realizing how much history actually happened here. The cliffs, caves and little villages have seen A LOT more than the pretty blue water we all come here for 🥹🇬🇷
