If we’re being honest, pageants sometimes carry a stigma. People assume they’re artificial or that the friendships formed through them aren’t genuine. The Miss America Opportunity, and especially the Miss South Carolina Organization, proves just how far from the truth that really is.

Last night, my friend Kellie, whom I met while competing last year, traveled all the way from @marshillu to surprise me alongside my family. Moments like that are exactly what this organization is all about. Sisterhood isn’t just a word at @missscorg. It’s a commitment to uplifting, encouraging, and supporting one another in a way that’s truly special.

I actually shared Kellie’s friendship as an example of what sisterhood means within the Miss South Carolina Organization during my interview, and her surprise last night only reinforced how genuine that bond really is.

The connections I’ve made through this organization are ones I know I’ll cherish for years to come, and the friendships have been nothing short of incredible. Being surrounded by driven, like-minded young women who are also kind, selfless, and supportive has meant more to me than words can express.

Kellie, thank you for being exactly who you are. You are one of the kindest and most genuine people I know, and I love you endlessly. I can’t wait to see you again on finals night!🥹
