I couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful setting for my first time fly fishing, surrounded by golden aspens at Dunton Hot Springs.

I caught 12 trout across three species: rainbow, cutthroat, and brook. My guide called it a “Grand Slam”! This rainbow was my biggest at about 12–13 inches, apparently a good size for this stretch of river.

Welcome home, lil Cruz! 🐾🏠

We've been having so much fun with our newest family member, Cruz Colgate. He's extremely smart. 2 months old and we've learned sit, lie-down, rollover and we're working on "stay" and "leave it". While he terrorizes our cat Atlas, he has the biggest heart and is full of energy, yet loves a good cuddle! Full grown he'll be about 45-50lbs and is a tri-color multigenerational bernedoodle.

A birthday I’ll never forget. 🥳

Brian planned the sweetest birthday surprise, releasing baby turtles into the ocean. After years of dreaming about this moment and trying to make it happen in various places around the world, the timing finally lined up. One of my biggest bucket list dreams came true, and watching the baby turtles make their way to the ocean was pure magic!

It’s taken me a few days to find the words…

We said goodbye to our sweet Ozzy and laid him to rest last Friday 🤍

He had the happiest little nub that never stopped wagging, and he always found a way to tell me what he needed. We had our own quiet language, and I miss that more than I can say.

Ozzy was always so loved. He always had two homes, two families who loved him so much. In a way, he became everyone’s dog.

These past couple of years, with me being home more, I got to spend so much of everyday life with him… the routines, the morning walks on the beach, the evening runs, the quiet moments, just being together. That time means everything to me now.

It’s been almost a week now, and there’s a space where he should be. The house feels empty and quiet. But I’m so grateful we got those extra three weeks with him, that we were all able to say our proper goodbyes, give him a little extra love, and send him off when he was ready.

Love you forever, my sweet Ozzy boy 🐾

There’s something about being in Japan that feels like coming home to a part of myself. Walking the streets and experiencing the culture while seeing the artistry woven into everyday life reminds me how much I love my heritage. On this trip, I especially fell in love with the city of Kanazawa, although Otaru, Sapporo and a moment in Tokyo we're also memorable.

I let intuition lead and commitment followed. 🤍

January… what a powerful way to begin 2026.
I entered this month with intention and I followed through. I’m coming out reset, grounded, peaceful, and re-lit with motivation and drive.

It started as Dry January and turned into my first ever water fast.

In preparation, I slowly peeled things back:
• 1 month of no alcohol
• 2 weeks in no green tea (bye caffeine)
• 3 weeks in no red meat
• Transitioned to liquid only
• 119.5 hours liquid
• 78.5 hours water only

I expected it to be hard.
By day three of my water fast, something unexpected happened…

I felt calm.
Centered.
At peace.

My nervous system softened. My mind got quiet. I felt like I could keep going.

The retreat itself was pure magic. Sound baths, yoga, the most epic massage, as my friend James said, "Lots of water!" (@jamesandthejoshuatrees), creative play, a grounding walk through Joshua Tree, and even a moment of powerful owl medicine 🦉✨
I’m deeply grateful I said YES to this January detox and inspired to move through the rest of this year with the same intention, presence, and trust.

Onward. 🌿

Climbing rocks, squeezing into slot canyons, trying yoga shapes, soaking in a sound bath, and running around the desert with some of the old Maaji crew — all with Hermanos Gutiérrez playing like the desert’s own heartbeat.
Such a good, good weekend.
